I've never ordered an international edition of a nursing textbook, but often ordered them for my classes when I was getting my first degree (mostly liberal arts classes, some science). I think the page numbers may have been different in my bio book. However, Bio 101 information isn't going to change whether it's an international edition or not, so for a savings of over $100, no big deal! I think all the rest of my books were identical, except for the covers.
I also purchased the international version for microbiology. Page for page, the information was the same. The front and back covers' images differed, but that was all.
Did the seller advertise your textbook as an international edition? It seems as though you were surprised. I would ask the seller a question prior to purchasing to ensure that you are receiving a certain version. The hardcover US versions will usually sell for more money, while the international versions will sell usually at a steep discount.
I did ask the seller after I got it if it was the same as the US version and he said yes, but with it being Ebay I just wasn't quite sure. I'm glad to see that others have used international texts as well. I'm suprised that it is so much cheaper considering the book I bought came from the UK.
I'm glad you didn't pay a premium for the international version. I've only heard (and have not verified this myself) that the end chapter problems could be slightly different between the two versions.
Also, for anyone else who is considering purchasing an international version, take note that some international versions will be printed only in black and white without any color (for the same price). Read descriptions carefully:clown:

In my experience, international editions tend to be 1/2 or even 1/3 the price of the U.S. edition.
I bought an international edition of my gigantic med/surg book and there was NO difference between it and the US edition. Pages are the same, pictures are in color, hard cover; saved me a ton of money. I was skeptical of international eds but I am very glad I took the plunge. Will be doing this for the rest of my nursing classes!

I recently got my A&P book in the mail, and it is an international edition. I read up to see if this is legal because the front cover said not for sale in the US, and found that it is. I was wondering if anyone else has gotten an International textbook, and if so, did you notice any differences from the US version? (other than price obviously)
