Hi!
I passed my Nclex exam through State of Vermont last October 2008. It shows expiration date of March 31, 2008. I understand that my license was only temporary until I get SSN. My question is can I still renew my license eventough I dont have SSN yet? I emailed Vermont and asked about it but still no response. I noticed in their website that their International RN license renewal was not yet posted. Iam afraid that my license will expire and I still have no idea what to do to be able to renew it.
Pls. help. A big thanks!

A couple of years ago when my license were about to expire I had to pay for having it renewed. I haven't got a SSN either becaue I am still in my home country. The SSN is required when you arrive in the US and are going to start working as a nurse. You cannot get a SSN until you arrive in the US with proper documents and file for it at a INS office
But just to be sure I think you should call Vermont and ask them, maybe they have changed their rules.

That's a good advise, ring them. I suspect they are currently working on that. They are restricting the license procedure as well, probably because they have far too many international applicants.
