visa screen nclex documentation

Can you help me? I do not know what document ICHP needs. It is for the visa screen requirement. I received a letter stating I need to submit "documentation of successful completion of either: CGFNS or NCLEX". But since I did not take CGFNS, and just now I learned I passed the California NCLEX-RN, I want to update ICHP for my visa screen. What is that document that I need to send to ICHP? Is there a form available from the CA-BRN website so I can request for that document? Please help me. Thank you!

California will send you a letter stating that you passed NCLEX. If you do not already have a SSN#, they will not actually issue the license to you at this time. I hope that you are aware that petition time for California is well over thirteen months if you getting sponsored on your own for a green card.

You do not say where you are living. Unless they have a SSN on file for you, you will not see your name posted. How did you find out that you passed the exam? You can also print out a copy of the screen that says that you passed. If you found out from CA website, and they have a number posted for you, then just send that number to CGFNS.

You can send a copy of the letter to CGFNS.

Hope that this helps because you did not supply enough information.

I found out that I passed thru the mail that they (CA-BRN) sent me. And yes, I am aware that I need to provide SSN or TIN, since I live in the Philippines. What I would like to know is, whether a photocopy of that letter (stating that I passed the NCLEX-RN) is acceptable by I.C.H.P. As far as I can remember, almost all document they require should either be authenticated or directly sent by the licensing authority?

You can send them a letter that you passed NCLEX and they can verify that you did with Pearson-Vue or California.

Have you been petitioned yet? Do you have a tourist visa for the US?

If you have a tourist visa, you can go to the US and submit for a change in status, you will need the Visa Screen Certificate to be submitted at that time, of course that will require that you already hve been offered a job while you are there.

If you are being petitioned while you are in the Philippines, you have plenty of time to receive your Certificate, as you do not need to produce it until you go for your interview.

OK, thank you very much....... :)

Hello. I would just like to do a follow-up on my situation. I have written to CA-BRN and ICHP to inform them that I have already passed the NCLEX. This is in lieu of the requirements for the visa screen. It has been 3 months (almost). And my ICHP online documentation status says (under CP or NCLEX) -- WAITING FOR PASSING TEST RESULTS. Is this something I should be worried about? Please I need your advice. Thanks in advance:)

ICHP can get verification from CA BON. I recommend contacting them and letting them know that you passed the NCLEX. ASk them which documentation that they want................it definitely beats just waiting....

Hello!

First of all, CGFNS does not open attached files.

You should push on CGFNS to change your on-line status by sending e-mails to the CGFNS officials.

Good luck

Hey, thanks for letting me know. I guess I should just email them and send surface mail at the same time - to be sure. :chuckle

I would suggest sending it FedEx or UPS, I have been told many times that sending it ordinary mail can take up to 3 months to be opened where as FedEx etc is opened sooner

Always, always send any documentation to CGFNS by courier service.

This way you have documentation every step of the way.

Good luck............ :balloons:
