To trust an agency???

Hello everyone, new in this forum....

Does anyone know how to determain an agencie`s trustworthines? Since there are so many agencies that hire internationally it is hard for a person overseas to know which company to trust. I and two collegues of mine are planning on coming to work in the US sometime next year. We`ve so far completed the IELTS and are studying for the NCLEX. But before signing any contract, we would like to know what specific details we should be aware of and perhaps caucious about. So any info about possible internet sites etc. will be greatly appreciated!!

Hello

I know that all of this was written many years ago but i wonder if those things apply now?

i am about to finish my RN-BA prgram in a university in Israel.

After that i will take the NCLEX and TOEFL exams.

My dream is to leave in Manhattan and work for a couple of years while i'm young and single.

I've heard people here on this site telling me that there are new laws about immigration-retrogression laws..or something like that. what's that?

can i, after finishig the two tests, apply for my hospital of choise (in manhattan, brooklyn, queens....) and hope to get hired by them? would they take care of all the Visa matters?

or do i have to get the Visa first and than to apply?

please, someone, explain the whole process to me.

You will be affected by retrogression and will currently have to wait several years for a visa allowing you to live and work in the US.

Suggest you do a search for retrogression.

retrogression is a bad situation even for us US citizens. It's so hard to find a job now-a-days. I cant even imagine those students paying hundreds of thousands of peso's to study nursing all to end up with a AGENCY LAWYER Shmuck who gives hopeful advices that a movement is comming in a few months or visa's will be released in a year, for them to say "PAY US 50,000ph and i'll get you a hospital"......is jaz outrageous. For those in-the-know already know there are no jobs for american nurses. What more for international nurses.

I jaz wish people be careful when paying agencies rediculous amounts of money for nothing.
