Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Hi! The earliest intake as far as I know is on January. You can find the application form somewhere in the international postgraduate section of their website. If you want, you can PM me your email add so I can mail the application form to you. :)

your application has been added to our waiting list. please be aware that we
currently have 30+ applicants on the list for places in our 2012 program and we will not be assessing further placements until march 2012.
castlemaine is originally my 1st choice because their fee is inclusive of the 3-month accommodation. i thought of waiting for other schools to reply but maybe i'm really just impatient in nature.
so there, it only goes to show that it is really practical to go with the 1st school to reply with an offer letter because you'll never know if your waiting for nothing anyway. :)
They asked me to apply for a student visa. I'm not sure though if you can use a 456. :)
Do you also have plan to take your BP in La Trobe? Student visa by the way will take time to be approved and cost a lot as compared to any other visa..:lvan:

Only to find out I lack two more documents, my CV and Certificate of Good Standing. Bloody AHPRA! They can't even be bother to contact you unless you go there personally. But anyway, I am just wondering does anyone know how to apply or anyone applied already without going to PRC for Certificate of Good Standing? One more thing, anyone generous to give me a sample of CV :) Thank you!

as for mine, I asked a relative to do this for me. I just gave an authorization letter.

hi makikay_rn.. it just so happened that I also encountered the same problem as netzkee. AHPRA emailed me requiring additional school documents- course outline and theoretical and clinical units. I actually clarified to them what specific documents they need as i have already submitted documents stating the number of nursing hours and number of units undertaken. That was a week ago and I have not received any response from their end yet. I am now worried that they wont assess my documents because of the lacking documents. Please help me out with this.

I also emailed them about this one and they replied right away. they asked me to wait for further instructions. i also explained to them that I already sent the said document. so let's just hope and pray that everything will turn out fine.
