Hi

Not sure how long eligibility takes for Texas but just wanted to say that it doesn't matter which state you go through the NCLEX is the same. The best thing you can do is revise and practice questions. There are a few good books about for revision and Sauders is a good one

texas requires the ces evaluation from cgfns. is it really true that cgfns wont process the june 06 passers, or only the visascreen in put on hold for now until a decision is made?

CGFNS is not issuing any documents that concern that exam at the moment. That includes taking the CGFNS exam, based on having a license in your country, as well as issuing a Visa Screen Certificate. And as far as r\the credential'e eval, they cannot put there stamp of approval on that either, they cannop\t verify that the nurse passed the exam and it was equaivalent to what would be required to pass in the US. And right now, there is not one country that is accepting the results of that exam, other than the Philippines.

i took the cgfns exam this november...but my concern is that, since texas BON requires CES, do i need to comply with it? although cgfns has already certified that my records are eligible for all their programs...does anybody can enlighten me with my burden?

If a state requires the CES, then you need to do that. Evaluation of your curriculum for the CES is quite different from what is required to write the exam, and unless the state says that they will accept the CGFNS exam in lieu of the CES, you will need to do that. And Texas has not waived the CES for the CGFNS exam.

Your records may be there, but they need to be evaluated differently and that means paying the fee to them for the CES>

thanks ms. suzzane4 for your reply...one more thing, do i need to take IELTS first before applying to Tx BON?

thanks a lot and more power.

You are applying for Licence by Examination in Texas. It is impossible to apply for the NCLEX exam. You will need to follow their procedure, the exam is the final step in the process.

They also require the CES before they will look at your application.
