greetings, im new here so please take it easy on me,
* im an american citizen, and just graduated from the philippines, do i really have to take the philippines board exam in order to be able to take the nclex exam? i think they will not allow me to take phil boards because you have to be a filipino citizen..

Nope! You don't need to take the NLE. My friend who is also a US citizen who graduated in the philippines took the Nclex two months ago in CA without taking the NLE. Good luck! :)

yes, shmaylay is right.. you don't need to pass the NLE if you're an american citizen.. california will just require you to have your SSN which i think you have since you're a citizen.. :)
Me too. I didn't take the NLE because I don't have a plan to practice there. Good thing NY BON doesn't require a SSN as I am not a citizen yet. I got my eligibility letter from them today and I will be scheduling to sit for Nclex very soon. You're right, methylorange. CA BON does require you to have a SSN.

As I mentioned in another post, check with the BRN as usually you need to provide something to say you can not sit the NLE
