If you have not taken the CGFNS exam, then the IP will be of no use to you as you will not get the visa for working in the US without one or the other.
-----------------
And thread is being moved to the International Forum where it is more appropriate............Do not have time to move everything there, but if it is anything to do with working in the US and is not specific to the UK, please place it in the International Forum.............
example, i never saw this post until tlday, but my name was mentioned in it. another reason to use the international forum, i only have a limited amount of time.
interim permit: allows practice of the profesion of nursing under the supervision of a licensed registered nurse. you may receive the ip provided that you meet the requirements to sit for the nclex exam but have not taken it yet.
if you have not taken the cgfns exam, at least, then this ip is of no use to you whatsoever, as you will not have a visa that will permit you to work in the us, a green card.
you can get a green card based on passing the nclex exam or the cgfns exam, but will not get a green card on your own any other way.

When you arrive here at the port of entry, an immigration officer will stamp your immigrant visa, make a photocopy of it and send it to the CA BON. Also apply for the SSN because they also need that.
That photocopy is prove of your residense here.
