the hcp writes a prescription for an insulin drip to begin for mr.rogers who currently weighs 226 lbs.pre-mixed insulin drip with 100 units of regular insulin in 100 cc of 0.9% NS. How may ml/hr?

Insulin Infusion Protocol:

blood glucose: units/hr

110-119: 0.5

120-149:1

150-179: 1.5

180-209:2

210-239:2

240-269:3

Forgot to mention that basing on his sliding scale if his glucose is 226 he'll need 2 units of insulin.

2/100×100=2ml/hr. The drip contains 1 unit/ml

I'm guessing they meant to make that weight a blood glucose, as in his blood glucose is currently 226 mg/dl.

Probably. Because it doesn't really make sense to throw the word "currently" in there with his weight, like it's going to change significantly in a couple hours.

As this question is written, there is no answer. No wonder you're having trouble.
