:bluecry1: okay.......I've been doing study questions all day and I keep getting the insulin questions wrong!! And when I look back @ my notes- I still don't get it...onset, peak, duration...when may you see signs of hypoglycemia if you give regular insulin at 8am??? I DON'T KNOW!!! Now I'm scared I'll have them on the nclex Monday and I won't get any of them right. WHAT AM I NOT UNDERSTANDING?? :banghead::banghead::banghead: Does anyone know of a website or book to help with this??

I just took the NCLEX on Monday. Luckily, I only had one insulin question. I think I missed it. I had a hard time memorizing everything pertaining to insulin.

I don't remember getting more than one or two questions on insulin, if any. I would take a break from insulin for today and pick up with it first thing tomorrow. If it seems to keep eluding you, then memorize just one of them, like intermediate acting. If you know one, then any questions about the others can be reasonably guessed at by comparing to intermediate. Regular is faster, etc. Relax, and good luck.

You know, I didn't start doing that until today! Now everytime I get one of those questions wrong, I look to see what the difference is between what I put and the correct answer. I'm slowly starting to get it...but I'm still hoping I won't see insulin questions on Monday! :coollook:

Also read the rationale if you got it right. It will either confirm your reasoning but also you may have thought wrong even if right and it will point you in the right way to reading the questions
