Inspirational song for graduation.

Hello everyone! I am graduating in June (yay) :yeah:and we are planning our graduation ceremony. We are supposed to have some sort of inspirational song to sing. I was wondering if anyone here had any suggestions. No one in class can seem to think of anything that would be appropriate. So if you could leave me some ideas of what you all did for your graduations, or if you simply have any suggetions please let me know!!! Thanks in advance for all your help :bowingpur...wish me luck!!

I always liked 'Shackles' from Mary Mary....hee!

But actually they have other great ones....you should check it out.

congrats. i'm graduating also. we are using these two songs,

"when you remember" by carrie underwood. excellent lyrics about "how we did this together, holding our head high" etc.

and "my wish" by rascall flatts

Thanks for your suggestions, guys. I will definetly have to check out the Carrie Underwood lyrics. I was thinking "My wish" also...but figured I would check and see what other classes are using.

Congrats to you guys also, it's been a looooong hard road, but definetly worth it. Keep the ideas coming!!!! :typing

We aren't using this as it was used the past couple of pinnings, but Kelly Clarkson's "A Moment Like This" is really pretty touching also....

We used Green Day's "Time of Your LIfe", Sarah McLaughlin's (sp?) "Will You Remember Me", and the theme song from Friends. "Peace and Love" by Blessid Union of Souls is good too. I've also seen "The River" by Garth Brooks.

Thanks for all of your ideas. We are meeting next week to figure out what exactly we are doing. Did you guys have an actual singer at your graduation, or did they just play your song. I honestly would rather have them just play the song, but would feel really stupid just standing there while the song was playing. Could you tell me how your graduations went? Thanks again! :jester:

If its not to late another idea is "Do I make you proud" by Taylor Hicks. We used it in our pinning, has us all crying.

I also like "A Moment Like This" by Kelly Clarkson. Awesome lyrics and a gorgeous voice!

We used "Hero" by Mariah Carey, "I Believe" by Fantasia, and "Go Light Your World" by Chris Rice at our pinning ceremony.

We had our graduation on May 9th and used "Amazing Grace" and "Whenever You Remember" by Carrie Underwood. Was very nice.
