What about a warm, relaxing bath? You don't need to walk, either, you know? Just run around your living room, do jumping jacks, whatever, hard cleaning...occupy your body. When you're tired, take a break, then jump up and do it again. And again. After 30 minutes of this, go to the bathroom, light some candles, turn off the lights, play some really soft relaxing music, run a bubble bath, sink to your chin, and chill out. I also use lavendar bath stuff, and lotion (Aveeno lavendar and vanilla baby lotion is the best!) and go for that extra aromatherapy kick. Maybe that would help?
I go through this too, especially when work is crazy!
If the warm bath with a book and cucumber melon candle doesn't do it, I have a small glass of wine.
some weeks, just truck on with a few hours of sleep, feeling sorry for my family and coworkers, and say "I'm sorry" alot for my grumpyness.
Benadryl helps me, about 1 to 1 1/2 hrs before bedtime. Then I turn the thermostat down real cool, turn on the fan for quiet noise, and put on my CD of Rain and Thunderstorms. I try to read my current book I'm working on, but rarely make it one page! I periodically have a hard time sleeping, and this usually helps. Hope it helps you.

Usually I feel like I can lay down on a slab of concrete and sleep for days. But lately it is hard to go to sleep at all or I wake in the middle of the night without hope of going back to sleep. (such as tonite, last night rather). I know Im stressed. Or more stressed than usual, lets say. Could this be the reason? Is there anyway to "cure" this without meds. Ive tried relaxation, food and milk.
And tylenol PM.
