No, not half the country. This country is not split against or for Trump by 50%. Trump only has high 30% to low 40% of the electorate's approval. Thus, most of the electorate (60-70% of us) are against him. In fact, in general Trump Supporters are largely White Supremacist. Plus, cult leaders usually remain popular among the majority of their cult followers, but not all of them once the cult followers who are not bought into the ideology of the demigod are removed from the cult.
In any case, I was not referring to Trump's popularity. I was referring to his receiving harsh punishment from the rest of us in the real world, who are not a part of his cult. For example, Trump will suffer financially because major corporations (and those of us not in his cult) will turn on his brand. Also, Trump will suffer civilly because he will be sued left and right by individuals who felt harmed by him for past and present actions. Moreover, Trump will also be prosecuted with the full extent of the law for past and present crimes. None of which has anything to do with popularity. All of which has to do with him finally being a civilian again and having to pay the consequences for his past and present amoral and criminal actions.
