Hi All,
I was hoping someone might be able to answer my question. I will be graduating next May. I've looked on the INOVA website for info on the different preceptorships, but didn't see one about the ICU specifically trauma ICU. They did have one for critical care. Does anyone know if they take new grads in the ICU? More specifically the trauma ICU? This is where I would love to work. I have previous CC experience when I worked on a step down ICU as a tech, which I think I might try to get back into. Thanks for any help!!
New grads can apply for an RN 2 position but I understood they are RN 1's for their 1st yr.Please correct me if I am wrong.
Yep! RN 1's were making $25/hr in 2008; not sure what it is now. Probably not much more than that! But you'd get an increase after a year when you're an RN 2, and then you can apply for the ADVANCE Clinical Ladder/RN 3, which will give you a 6% increase if you're successful in your application. Good luck!
