hello i was just looking on those sites and all i see are private duty agencies and home care companies hiring. not saying anything wrong with them, but how much is the rn pay for those agencies working shifts in the home? is that area pretty much hiring all the time because a lot of nurses dont do it? a recruiter i was talking to for an agency said the hospital job market is very tight in dallas now and im pretty much locked out of hospital nursing b/c i worked ltc straight out of school.

Go to http://www.careerbuilder.com and do your job-seeking. You'll get a much wider array of nursing job listings.
I tend to avoid sites such as Craig's List for job searches.

Indeed.com compiles listings from several other employment sites. If companies don't advertise on the internet sites, any of them, then you won't see them, even though they may have openings. I've noticed that the same old companies have the same old listings, but that is to be expected on any kind of search. Another place to take a look is the website of your state employment service. I actually found a job by answering a listing that I saw on the state site.
