I would do:
Nutrition
Chemistry
Anatomy
Physio
Micro
Micro and Physio claims that you need chemistry (it helps), but most of the chemistry is basic besides for redox reactions which I learned in my general college chem course and not the intro to chem that is required as a pre-req. I did nutrition, chem, and anatomy last semester and it was very easy. So if you do those three; then do like micro in the summer; then physio last.
LCGrace,
What order did you decide to take the science classes? The way it sounds and from your profile, I think I know what school you are talking about and I am thinking of applying there as well to finish up the science pre-reqs and get into their Accelerated BSN.
I did those exact classes this year.
In the spring I took
AP 1
Nutrition
Chem
In the summer I took
AP2
Micro
(psych too)
It worked out great like that. I always took the APs in order and tried to match an easier with a harder class to spread out the workload. Check to see if you have to take one before another (like micro before AP)
As for podcasts, etc check out itunes U, they have videos on everything. Youtube is also a great resource. I didn't bother reading ahead of time by more than a chapter or two in our text because I would never remember any of it anyway. But that's just me. :)
Good luck! I loved those classes, I wish I could take them instead of the ones I'm doing now (art, algebra, english).

In what order do you recommend taking these Pre-Requisites/General Ed Requirements?
Microbiology
Human Anatomy / Anatomy & Physiology 1
Human Physiology / Anatomy & Physiology 2
Principles of Nutrition
Fundamentals of Chemistry
I have 3 semesters to take them. Spring 2010, Summer 2010, and Fall 2010. The registration to the nursing program is August 15th for their Spring 2011 program so I am trying to get as many as I can completed even though they only require 1 of the sciences to be considered for entry.
But anyway, what order would you recommend taking those courses in, and what would you suggest pairing courses with. Ex. Microbiology with Chemistry, A&P 1 with Nutrition, A&P 1&2 alone.. you catch me.
Oh yeah, and can you recommend any books or podcast or anything that I can start reading to prep me on whats instore. I started reading CliffNotes but a book would be a lot easier. Thanks everyone!
