This is a great post!!! I need to WOOSSAAAHHHHHH!! I took my midterm for A&P1 on thursday and I am soooooooooo nervous! Honestly, it wasn't that hard but some of the questions were worded so crazy that it had my mind boggling! I had a terrible week. I got a 13 out of 20 on my lab quiz and a 68 on my Sociology midterm because I spent so much time studying for the lecture midterm. I am sooooo tired. I stay up all night studying and I have to deal with a 10 month old who likes to stay up with me!!! I cannot wait til this semester is OVER!!!!!!! Good luck to us all!

I got a 100 on my first lab practical:-) And a 80 on my first lecture exam. We have weekly quizzes in lab and the points are out of 20 and the lowest I've gotten so far is a 17. For my first quiz in lecture, I received a 23 out of 25 so I'm doing way better than I thought I would! I have a 9 month old baby as well as a 7 year old so juggling school, work and kids and being out of school for like 5 years, I think I'll take these grades and fly:-) Good luck to us all!

Hey all. I am in my 2nd week of A&P1. Just had our first quiz in Lab today on body organization. I got a 9 out of 10 correct:-) So far it isn't so bad but yes it is alottttt of reading and memorization for sure. My first quiz in the Lecture part of the class is on Thursday so guess what I am doing at 1:00am...yup STUDYING!!!! Good luck to all of us!

I start next Tuesday. A&P1 and Chemistry...oh boy! I just started a new thread on here asking how to prepare for A&P cause I am shook too! I haven't taken any science courses in over 10 years now so I am really nervous about the lab tests/practicals! Yikes!!!

For all those who have take A&P1, I wanted to know if you could shed some light on this topic for me please. I am taking A&P1 this fall (next week I start) and I have not taken science courses in over 10 years now! So I am a little (or a lot) rusty on lab classes especially. In A&P lab tests, are you dissecting frogs and things like that? Or is it labeling the different parts of the body and such? Also, how can I make flashcards to help me study? For instance, would I put the name of a bone on the front of the index card and the function of that bone on the back of the card?? I know its a lot of memorization for A&P, but its not vocabulary right?? I just want a heads up to help me prepare. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I agree - check with your school. All the schools I've looked into require the bio classes to be within 5-7 years. Everything else doesn't matter.

Did you take the NET for a specific school or took it just in general?

Fallon - WOW! are you serious??? Gosh that would be such a lifesaver if that was the case for me! My professor is Okereke for Lecture and Owusu for Lab. Did you have any of them?

ISBN - 0-07-798151-0 What's weird is when I looked at the book that was used for this past summer session its the 4th edition (and that one I see everywhere online) but for the fall semester its the number above and it says CALL BOOKSTORE! It doesn't even have the new or used price like all the other books do:-(

Hi all. I wanted to know if there are any current BCCC students who can help me find the Anatomy & Physiology 1 textbook outside of the school's bookstore?? The name of it Anatomy & Physiology The Unity of Form and Function. Author is Saladin. The problem is I'm looking for it online anywhere possible but BCCC does not show the EDITION when I look at it on the online bookstore or when I call. I see this book online with different editions but I do not know which one is the right one! I want to know if there is anyone who took A&P1 either last semester/year or summer that can tell me which edition they had so I can see if I can find it OR if anyone knows if this book can only be purchased at BCCC bookstore (like if the book is only made for that school) which I heard they sometimes are. Thanks!

A&P1 Lab - Tues/Thurs 9:30-10:50am A&P1 Lect - Tues/Thurs 11-12:20pm Allied Health Chem - Tues/Thurs 12:30-1:50pm Allied Health Chem Lab - Tues 3-5:50pm Socialogy 101 - Online I do not work as of now but I may go back to my old job (part time) which is a before/afterschool program which is at my 7 year old son's school. I also have a 7 month old daughter who is work all in herself:-)
