About your uniforms and clinicals you may not get your complete uniform until after clinicals start. I know several students and myself didn't get our pants and tunics until about the third clinical meeting. It wasn't the fault of the school, but the uniform provider. Fortunately we had lab coats to wear and the instructors where very understanding and accommodating. Just remember not to wear anything but white socks and absolutely no clogs! They do tend to do things a little last minute for some people, but the school is actually really caring and accomodating for students. Everything usually felt pretty organized. Once the school thing gets rolling, you are going to be so busy trying to keep your notes and reading organized that you wont even have time to pay attention to these other things.
Thanks for putting things in perspective for us again. I appreciate your feedback.
With regards to the shoes, do they have to be completly white or can the brand name be written in a different color. I want to get a pair of white MBT's but I am not shelling out that money until I know for sure. Thanks!
:welcome: wow!!!! it's been a long ride to get to this point but i am now officially a pbison student. bill is paid, id in hand, medically cleared, books are starting to arrive. i got the syllabus to the one class i am taking at pace and the work load is looking very scary. i have the orientation break down if you have questions, calender as well. not that it was ever mailed to me, i had to get it personally. orientation actually looks to be entertaining, i have the c pr training class the same day as the first day of orientation, it is going to be a very long day. the calm before the storm. so far the pharmacology book is the most expensive book of them all. see you guys soon.
warning: for those of you that went to the uniform fitting. i just checked with the uniform company and found out that i am getting a ups delivery today. i got the tracking # from the company. they said they sent an email with the tracking, i never got that email. anyhow just want to give a heads up to those who did place their order that day because this way you may be able to arrange for someone to sign for your delivery. see you all at orientation tomorrow. :balloons::balloons::balloons::balloons::balloons::balloons::balloons::balloons::balloons::balloons::balloons::balloons::balloons::balloons::balloons::balloons:
don't forget dinner as well... since you'll be at cpr until 9pm! i'll be there too... it's going to be a long day!
i just noticed that your user name implies your plans for an msn in 2010. duh!!! are you taking classes at pace? i had a meeting with mrs. pass-stern about the msn at pace and all my questions are directed to the person in charge of the program at pace. i am going to set up a meeting with that person on monday. any questions you might have? like they said in critical thinking two minds are always stronger than one.

Romie are you a new student, current student or graduate of the school? Just curious. I could swear that everytime I take a breath a new dilema pops up. Not a big deal because I tackle a problem right away and eliminate it. I called the uniform company very unprofessional. I went to the fitting and the order to this day has not even been filled or sent out. They are lucky to have pbison's business. I am sure there are other companies that can deliver the same service with more professionalism and punctuality. Well today I finish the last phase of medical clearance, Id and have already straightened out an inaccurate tuition bill. All books are ordered including some good shoes for the medical profession from EBAY. I think I have done everything except to purchase a plain notebook.
You are so right once things go into play there will not be anytime to think of all these little things. That is why in the past 6 weeks I have been pushing to get answers and fixing misunderstandings, mistakes, and planning ahead to what is to come in less than two weeks. Now I can enjoy my summer or at least the few hours that are left of it.
