YOu can do it! I have 3 kids (20 months, 9 and 10 yrs) and my hubby is deployed to Iraq. The older two can understand that I have to study and so they help out around the hose. The baby, on the other hand, is a different story. I can't do any homework with him here so, I wait about 1 1/2 -2 hrs after I get home from class before I pick him up from daycare. It was really hard for me to do that at first but then I realized it would be the only way for me to get any studying done.

You can do it. Keep praying!

I am the mother of 3 (4,6,7). I attend LPN school, and do not work. My hubby works full time from 3-11pm. He is very supportive. He cleans, cooks, laundry whenever i am busy studying. So, that helps A LOT. LPN school is challenging, but if you take notes and study everyday, you will do fine. Its just the keeping up....you make a choice everyday when u wake up if you want to go to school or stay home, do your homework or not....ect...some days i struggle....i get sick of going everyday (sorry to sound so negative)...but I still get my butt outta bed and go. I have had to miss out on some field trips with the kids, my youngest daughters christmas program (it broke my heart)....but as long as you keep your head up and remember it is only temporary, you can do it. Its very rewarding. You are helping your family out in the long run. Good Luck with school!

Nursing school with kids is able to be done. When I started for my LPN I had one kid. She was 2. By the time I finished my RN I was pregnant for my third child. And I was working part-time. It is a hard juggling act but if you have a good husband who supports you in what you want to accomplish and someone good to watch the kids you can do it. My mom and my husbands step-mom helped me with the kids. And when they couldn't anymore my pastor's wife watched them for me. Good luck and keep your head up! You can do it!

Most of the people in my PN class had children..some were married a few weren't like me. I'm 22 single mom of a 9month old. I started the program when I was 7mths preg. in March 2006 and didn't stop until I finished the program Dec 2006. I passed my NCLEX as well and am very happy I pushed on through. It's is hard and I didn't get much sleep but I made it through. Good luck and you will be so proud of yourself when you are finished.
