Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

we are seeing more and more new grads begin their posting history here with using titles in their user name that they have not earned. graduating from a nursing program does not give you the title of rn or lvn/lpn. that is conferred only upon passing of the nclex exam here or the equivalent in another country.

please do not use the title rn, lpn, lvn, or nurse if you have not taken and passed the licensing exam.

this is per the terms of service that you agreed to abide by when you signed up as well as per the requirements of each and every board of nursing in the us.

we do not permit one to use other degrees that they have not earned as well, such as crna or cnm or np in their user name if something else is not added to make sure that one would not assume that they have actually earned the right to use that distinction.

thanks for your understanding on this.

please do not change your user name to include nurse in it until you have actually taken and passed either of the nclex exams or an exam or hold licensure in another country. graduating from a univeristy and having a degree in nursing is not the same as holding a license. and this is what is required by every bon in the us. being a graduate nurse is not having a license, you are working under the license of another nurse, therefore you should not be using the designation nurse here as well until the exam is passed and you have an actual license number that is issued to you.

i am updating this to make this point.

thank you for your understanding on this. please reread the tos of this site and the section called user names if you have any questions.

Sometimes I dont know what to post...Ive almost finished the first tip...does replying to a post count?

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Yes replying counts as a post but we do ask that posts are meaningful

How do I know how many postings I have so far? Is there a way to find out?

look to the to right of your posts it will say how many posts you have, just under the date you joined

Can I please remind members when posting not to drag up old posts, things change and if the member has passed NCLEX is likely not to come back to this forum

I just signed up and used RN in my user name and took boards yesterday and no results yet. Can I change this? I may pass or I may not......

It cannot be done as one may not even use the title NURSE on anything until they have passed a licensing exam. This is per all of the BONs and not just Allnurses.com.

At this point in time since you have already written the exam, you may leave the user name as it.

But in the case that you find out that you did not pass, we ask that you change or modify your user name to comply with the TOS here.

Thanks for your understanding, and thanks for asking.

I want to join the Suzanne's program but I am lost with the tip is she saying do the quiz first while working up to the 15 post? I have posted a lot today but they are questions and things I want to know and get off my mind about nursing. So if I get to my 15 post soon will you allow me to PM Suzanne?

As you have been told over and over again today, you must first actually complete the first tip as it is posted before you can request any further help with preparation using my program.

The first tip must be done first, there is not one thing that I can do to help you until that is done.

It is going to take you some time to actually get thru the first tip, so there is no reason to repeatedly make posts to get your count up. There is no reason that you need to send me a pm today, the first tip must be done first.

Please be respective of what you have been told multiple times today.

15 legitimate posts are needed on this site before one can use the pm function that we have in place here.

until the first tip is actually completed, there is no reason to contact me as there is not one thing that i will be able to do for you.

i require that the first tip be completed in its entirety before contacting me.

so one has all of the time to get 15 what i call legitimate posts and not just something to increase post count to their user name.

when i find someone doing this, then there is no reason that i need to help them. i volunteer my services here, and still work a real job. when extra time is spent removing things that are off-topic or for whatever other reason, then it takes away from my free time that i do have.

one must meet my requirements, i am not required to meet yours. anna has already posted here about the 15 posts required and not spamming the forums.

thanks for your understanding on this. i am only too glad to help as most of you are aware of, but you need to do things my way, or i will not be able to help you.
