Hi Annie,
Thanks for being so helpful by posting your experience and all. it has been a great help to us going in on the same boat of the bridging program. If it's okay to ask, because I have not been employed for a year now in my nursing.. and what worries me is the question under the Visa sub class 600 business stream, that asks if I am currently employed or no. When you lodged your visa were you employed at that time? I am afraid that placing unemployed will be a factor for my visa application. Thank you so much. I really appreciate it.

Hi evan.
Yes, just write unemployed. It's always safe to tell the truth. :) i am still employed during the time I lodged my visa. The effectivity of my resignation was like 12 days before the day of my flight. I just wanna make sure that my work experience is still "recent" by the time I apply for jobs. Best of luck!
Hi everyone, it's been a while since I posted here. :) I've completed the bridging program and received my AHPRA registration as well, thanks God! I have a valid 456 visa. Would just like to ask if in any case an employer is willing to sponsor me for a 457 visa, does my location at that time have a bearing on the visa application (i.e., faster?) Will it be better if I'm in Australia, or is the process the same if I'm back in the Philippines? Coz I've heard of others who previously were on 456 which was successfully converted to a 457 while in Aus. Just not sure if this is still the case.
Also, is anyone here applying for permanent residency? I'm also looking into that.
Any input will help, thanks and goodluck to us all!

Thank you so much Annie...Congrats by the way! :)
Hi annie,
I'm not in Australia. I'm still thinking of when to head back, my 456 still has a long way to go before expiring. Currently looking for jobs but trying to be optimistic. Just want to be ahead and know what I can do/prepare at this point while I'm still looking for a sponsor so that if I get one, everything will be good to go. I read a few things for the 457 visa from the DIAC website but need to do more research. If anyone has gone through the process of applying for it, hope you can share it here! TIA!
