Hi guys! Just got my visa today :). Here's my time line for future reference. I applied for Visitor Visa SC 600.

April 26 - I've lodged my visa VIA

April 29 - I received an sms that my application was received by the embassy

May 9 - I received an email notice to do my medicals (around noon-time)

May 10 - I did my medicals at St. Luke's Global (awesome accommodating staffs)

May 15 - My medicals were forwarded to embassy (delayed because of weekends and election)

May 17 - I got my Visa Grand via email

Really helps if you follow-up them continuously.

Good luck everyone!

Hello guys,

Im planning to migrate to AUS. Im a RN. My only experience is being a CI for 15 months. My IELTS expired last year so I have to take it again next month. Im planning to apply for a student visa sc 573. In which I have to take a 2 year bachelor of nursing course.

Anyone went this way? I know it costs alot but I think it's the best option. Maybe you guys have any suggestions/advices/comments, I would surely appreciate it.

Thank you

I don't think it's the best option. The only "benefit" you will get from this is being able to work part-time while studying (or maybe added points for immigration). But i would like to point out that doing this 2-year nursing program will only cost you more in the long run, not to mention the fact that by the time you graduate, the employment and immigration atmosphere will be very different - in a tighter way. all those who will undergo the 3-month BP will be able to search for jobs a much earlier than you. and because hundreds (if not thousands) are taking this BP, plus Australia's own nursing grad, surely you will miss out a lot on employment prospects. so think about it.

Hello molly molly, sent you a PM... thank you :)

Hello guys, I'm planning to have my medical exam tomorrow... how much would it cost me @ St. Luke's? Thanks!!! ;)

Hi molly_molly!

Congratulations!

I am also for Castlemaine's June 3 intake. The thing is I'm afraid I might not get my visa on time. Received an SMS confirming my application on May 14 and I still don't have a notice to do my medicals.

May I know how you followed-up your application? Did you call them or sent a web inquiry?

Hi guys! So I emailed the australian immigration here asking for the status of my visa application. And they told me that 'the result of your medical examination were referred to health operation centre in Australia' anyone who got the same response? Is it the normal process or something to worry about? Thanks!

I suggest you do both... I called DIAC and emailed them at the same time. Elaborate your situation in your email... I hope you can get your visa on time... All the best!
