Hi all!
I am a newly qualified nurse working in Neurosurgery in belfast! I am just interested in finding out some information about the processes I may have to go through e.g prices, visas, licensing exams to emmigrate to Vancouver!
Any information would be amazing!
Thanks!

You need to contact the BC college of nurses @ http://www.crnbc.ca/.They will instruct you on how to apply for a nursing license. You will need to go to cic.gc.ca for information on applying for a visa.
Best of luck.

You have to go to the website of the BC nursing board, download the application form for internationally educated nurses. You will find all the information you need there. I wish you all the best.

Hello Fiona,
I am foreign educated nurse currently living in Vancouver. I would suggest you apply at the College of Registered Nursing of BC as soon as you can since it might take a while before you can be licensed. Depending on your nursing education you can be sent for some courses or none at all. As for myself, it took me almost 3 years to finally sit for the exam since I had to do a re-entry program.
FYI, there isnt actually a lot of hiring in greater vancouver area as well (except in specialty areas), Alberta though is looking good. But Vancouver is a beautiful city. A little expensive, but beautiful
Good luck!
