Tough one. I know of one nurse that had a restricted license. Typically, these nurses are in non-clinical areas, meaning no med carts. Maybe look for more of a "paperwork" job ie: careplans, MDS's, insurance companies, etc. That way, no one has to pick up extra duties because of your restrictions, and it makes leaving for drug testing easier.
Keep in mind that your experience and/or school don't amount to a pinch of puppy poop to future employers. Fact is you're a liability. That's why you are having such trouble finding a job.
I wish you the best.

If you are to not have any access to narcotics, LTC may not work out. Licensed nurses usually work pretty independently in LTC, meaning you may be the only nurse on a wing/unit, and there isn't someone else around to pass narcs for you. Additionally, narcs are locked in the same cart as the other meds (albeit in an additional locked drawer). I don't know what the solution is, but I suspect a traditional nursing role in LTC isn't appropriate.

Can’t even get a job at a LTC? That’s pretty insulting to those of us who work in that field
