I'm really in a tight spot. What should i do?

Published

Right now i'm in a tight spot. i work part time at JCP making 7.00/h (10 hrs per week). that isn't enough to pay for the little bills i have to pay for.

i'm almost done with a CNA class. it cost $750 and i paid $125 already. i have until the 23th of Feb to pay the $625. if i don't pay it then i won't graduate, get my certificate of completion, or take my state exam.

Also i have to wait until the summer to go back to school to finish my preqs. i was in school for my preqs for nursing but left for personal reasons. now im ready to go back. There are plenty of job openings at Geico Insurance in my city and i applied for an Emergency Roadside Dispatcher that starts at $11.38/h plus 10% night diff. the shift is 3-11 pm (no part time). it sounds good but they want you there every single day and i don't know if i'll have time to study or anything. i'll be go to school in the morning. i know once i hit nursing school i have to quit.

I will finish my CNA class maybe this week. i have clinicals tomorrow. i just want whats best for me because my current job isn't paying what it needs to pay for.

why not take out a personal loan?

consolidate all your bills and seek an interest rate that is obviously lower than what you're paying.

do your homework as to what would constitute a good rate.

great way to build credit, which i encourage young women to do on their own.

my 19yo dtr is doing this very thing right now.

good luck, honey.

This is the thing, many facilities will help you pay for a CNA class if you agree to work for them for so many months. Maybe you should contact a few and see what they say. The facility I work at will pay for you to take the class and pay you a wage while you take it if you agree to work so many months. Check into it.

Why was this exact scenario posted twice under different usernames?

When you sign up and get enrolled for your prereqs, go directly to the financial aide office and ask how they can help you. They usually have grants and scholarships, and can direct you to loans. Most important thing to do is apply for the Fasfa? This will tell you what and how much help your college can give you, so this is important. You can fill it out online Fasfa.com i think, anytime after January 1st. and the earlier you fill it out, the more money you get because money runs out as people fill out their forms and get grants.

Also, google "scholarships, (and whatever you are good at, ethnic background, disability, etc). You can totally find scholarships! It's work but it paid all my bills while I went to a private school. and check out your states dept of health, they usually give scholarships.

I did it, you can too.
