I'm just frustrated!!

So I took the TEAS test (first time) while taking A&P 1 at a University and completely failed it (68%). Then over the break I took it again got a 72% ( have to get a 73 to be accepted). I just feel absolutely stressed. I wasn't looking at any other nursing programs, until i found out i didn't pass it. I'm almost done with my pre-req's (just have A&P II and Micro left). So basically I either wait a year to apply to the nursing school I'm at, or wait a semester and apply somewhere else.

I just don't know what to do....

If so, what do I do for a whole semester?

I would apply to another program.. and in that semester take a CNA course & get certified.

I like what zoe92 suggested. I would also encourage you to volunteer at a hospital or other medical facility.

I've never taken or heard of the TEAS test, but if you have to take it a 3rd time I'd use this time to study for it. If you're anything like me, you want to do really well on the test. If you need a 73% to pass, you don't was a 73%. You probably want to kick its butt. Also, if you work, I'd work some extra hours so when you do go to nursing school you'll have some money saved and can maybe work part time or less. The CNA class is a good idea, too. You also have the time to get your A&P II and Micro done.

I don't know what state you're in, but many programs accept lower TEAS scores than 73. I'm taking pre-reqs at Middlesex Community College in MA; their RN/ASN program (which bridges to BSN/MSN programs at lots of other schools) requires only a 58.7% or higher on the TEAS.

So look at other programs, and knock off the last two pre-reqs until you start in the fall. If you really like the program at the place you are now, you could transfer after a semester or two elsewhere provided you do well. Good luck! : )
