:confused:wat score in nclex wud be a "pass" one? how many questions r dr in nclex?
If the computer shuts off at 75 questions and 25 are the "don't count" questions...You would have to get 45 of those 75 correct. You would think...in order to pass.
Think about it. You get 75 question of which 25 don't count which brings it down to 50 therefore you need to get 25 right to pass. That is my understanding
There are 75 min. questions and a maximum of 265. You have 6 hours to test with 2 mandatory breaks. At our Hurst Review they told us that if you take all 6 hours and run out of time, they only grade the last 60 questions. If you finish before 6 hours then you are graded based upon more right than wrong answers overall. The test booklet for NCLEX states that the computer will shut off when a decision has been made within 95% accuracy. Then it is graded by a person. That is why the "unofficial" grades are posted. Your State will receive your official grade as will you in the mail. Hope this helps. If you need more answers visit: www.ncsbn.org and follow instructions for NCLEX candidates. Also www.pearsonvue.com is also helpful.Good Luck, I take boards on the 12th of June...:typing
ahh..now i know. i reached til 265 & im really losing hope. i just took the nclex-RN 2 days ago, may 28, 2008. i still had 8 minutes left then. i thought the only thing that will be graded were the last 60 always, whether you reached the time limit or not. i hope you're certainly right. im really losing hope in here. the last few questions i had were simple ones..what i meant to say was multiple choice type mostly.
still hoping for the best.God bless us..

YOUR LAST 60 QUESTIONS HAVE TO STAY ABOVE THE PASSING STANDARD, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO GET ALL 60 RIGHT.
omg..so the last 60 questions will be graded?..meaning they wouldn't mind the other 205 questions i answered?..i noticed that the first part of my exam, the questions were mostly sata's & prioritizations, which i think are the high level ones. the last few questions were just simply multiple choice...oh well, im still waiting for my result..we me luck & more blessings from God guys..

This is my understanding is that if you get 50% correctly at a certain level ( you can never tell which questions are these) then you pass if you get 50% right or wrong at lower level then you fail . The way they grade it is more confusing. Just focus on getting your questions right rather than worrying about what level a question, it will just increase your anxiety.
