I am currently in the process of visa screen application. I took the NCLEX in 2011 and have a current and valid registered nurse license in the state of Illinois. With my visa screen application, I was told to submit request of validation of license form as proof of passing NCLEX. I sent the form to IDFPR Springfield address and they sent a validation of license back to CGFNS but I'm still being asked to submit proof of NCLEX. When I spoke with CGFNS, they said that they did get a form but there was no mention of NCLEX in the form. When I spoke with IDFPR, they said they do verification of licenses but they have their own form and do not fill out the form from CGFNS. Did anyone else encounter a problem like this? I do not know where else to send the form, or how to obtain proof of NCLEX. I already emailed CGFNS telling them that I will not have a valid and active license if I did not pass the NCLEX but they haven't respond yet.

Silly of me to not realize I can't give out the individual's name, so to make any sense: ask for the person involved in the Nursys project.

Thanks for responding. It didn't specify. But they gave me a letter with what I have to submit which I've done the first time.so I'm a little bit confused. One thing I noticed was in the online instructions it says that the check should be payable to Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (which I did) but in the letter they sent it says that the check should be payable to the Division of Professional Regulation. Maybe the guidelines have been changed?

Along with the letter, they returned everything I sent except for the check.

Another thing, will the certificate from idfpr suffice to prove that I passed the NCLEX?

Could it be that the error in my initial request was that the check was not named to Division of Professional Regulation?

I called their hotline but they only told me what was in the letter.

Do you use a check from a US bank account? I had to ask my husband to write a check. At first I used a money order in US dollars and they refused it.

I used a Demand Draft from the Bank of Philippine Islands payable to Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. They returned all my documents except for the check.

now they want me to make a check payable to Division of Professional Regulation.

Demand Draft is what I've been using eversince. Even in my license application (the $50 fee that has to be paid for the license)

Me too. Someone from the call center even said that the check wasn't in my mail. So I don't know if it was stolen or not. I talked to three people but nobody can really confirm anything.

Hello Tats89,

IDFPR has sent my RN license validation to CGFNS. They did not filled the Form but sent the usual documents they send for validation purpose. Could you please let me know following:

1) Did they ask you additional proof of NCLEX passing or they were OK with the IDFPR letter?

2) How long did CGFNS took to open the IDFPR letter and update your account?
