  1. Hey 55$ for a SOC ?!? That’s crazy it takes me anywhere from 2 to 3 hours. Inacceptable! I’m sorry ? 1- I don’t do direct supervisory visit. 2- Don’t buy your own supplies. Please talk to your Clinical manager about this. How can you do your job without supplies ? Most discharging facilities will give patient enough supplies for wound care until you’re able to order more supplies for your patient.I also would not buy my own supplies for exemple : blood draw... especially at that rate ? 3- I cover a vast area and I am really busy so I usually propose a visit time ( always 2 hour window ) and sometimes I can be flexible but most days I can’t. If my time for that day doesn’t work I’ll just reschedule the patient for another day and if by the end of the week I don’t see the patient, Because he’s too “busy”, then patient doesn’t need me. When patients are annoying I just ask straight up “ do you need my help/care?”. You’ll get an honest answer. I understand when patients have appointments but otherwise it’s all about their priorities. I try to use a calendar at SOC and will tell patient : I’ll see you Thursdays Am/pm but will call night before for a more specific window or to reschedule if something comes up on your end or my end. 4- I don’t have any advice sorry. 5- I’m using HCHB on the agency’s Samsung tablet And have internet 3G integrated. I do most of my charting while I am with patient or in my car but I am on the road usually from 8 am to 3-4 pm on a busy day. 6- don’t know sorry, I might start to do IV Infusion on the side ? Good luck
  2. Ok try changing that then... I find it weird that they're keeping the check tho...
  3. Do you use a check from a US bank account? I had to ask my husband to write a check. At first I used a money order in US dollars and they refused it.
  4. What do you mean by errors?
  5. Oh ok well a few months ago when I did it it was impossible....
  6. I feel your pain. NURSYS can't be use by CGFNS anyways... when IDFPR will take money from your bank account just call them to confirm they sent the license certification to CGFNS. After that the waiting game begin. CGFNS won't be able to confirm if they received the letter or not as you won't have any tracking number. IDFPR just use regular mail so it's impossible to have one.
  7. Hey this is an old topic. I got my Visascreen after complaining to CGFNS a few times. I found the whole process truly frustrating. Good luck on your journey. IDFPR took a week to send my license validation but CGFNS took 2 months to open the letter.
  8. You can pay for the expedited service if you want to
  9. If you have any questions just call them ...
  10. Why cant you do both at the same time? Try to pass your french exam and get your Tn and a job at the same time and go from there. From my experience the hospital/agencies are usually looking for experienced nurse (at least a year... if not more). The newgrads positions are usually filled already. If french is a problem, cant you pass the Ontario board exam? I dont even know if its an option.
  11. Hey I went to nursing school in Qc and I speak French so unfortunately I don't have any experience with the French exam. There's a lot of job opportunities in Qc,there's a shortage.but you have to be able to speak a little bit of French even in the West Island of Mtl. You'll have to dig into the forum and search what are your possibilities if you fail your French exam. Getting a job on in IL is doable if you have the right experience. I'm not gonna lie it's Not easy, but I managed to find one. Since you're not even eligible for citizenship then the TN is not an option for now. You will have to get your citizenship and apply for your passport. Do you have a valid US SSN? How will you keep your IL license active? Sorry I can't really help you as we don't have the same credentials/experience. Good luck on your journey :)
  12. I answered your other post. Your license verification is already a proof that you pass the NCLEX. IL BON will send their own form to CGFNS.
  13. They asked 1 year of med surg in the past 5 years
  14. Having a TN and being sponsored is 2 different things.I think that sometimes hospitals get that mixed up. There is really no extra cost for them besides the job letter. I'm on a TN status in Chicago and I had to explain multiple times to them that I was not being sponsored. PM me
  15. CFGNS will use your license validation/verification as proof of NCLEX. Just send IDFPR a letter explaining that you need your license verificationsent to CGFNS with a 20$ check. IDFPR will not use CGFNS forms, they will send their own and it's ok.Once CGFNS received it they'll use this as a license verification AND nclex pass proof. here's the link with IDFPR adress : https://www.idfpr.com/Forms/Req_cert.pdf CGFNS wont use Nursy as it is BON to BON thats why you have to ask IDFPR to send it directly to CGFNS
