I hope you all are not getting sick of these questions, but..........
I am doing research.....I want adventure, challenge, change....
If you could pick a state, I am avoiding large urban areas, want nice med size hospital, good learning opporunity, university near by......
I am an ICU RN, Canadian and need to do my homework.
What are your suggestions? What are your experiences.....why is your place of work good-bad............ I would love to hear from you.
Thanks J.

I've only ever worked in Indiana...but if I had a choice, I would pick somewhere near either mountains or an ocean. Afraid I don't have any actual information for you though.

Having only worked in California, I am probably not the kind of expert you want. I do however have an opinion.
I've seen most of this country, and have family from coast to coast. My choices would be:
# 1. Albequerque, New Mexico - great weather, lots of things to do, UNM, nice people.
# 2. Colorado, - anywhere. Mountains, climate, skiing!!! ....
just my $ .02

Thanks Ken..........We continue to like Flagstaff AZ for the climate, mountains, proximity to Sedona, etc etc.
I just have to keep doing researh....... planning......... this will be such a big change for us.
Maybe a stupid question but........ Arizona, does not have the death penality? Does it?

If I had a choice, I would choose either North or South Carolina--I have been to both places and I love it there! Especially the beach! Spent my honeymoon in Myrtle Beach and visited Carolina Beach, NC (it's near Wilmington) one weekend. If only I could talk hubby into moving!

Wassa matter?
You planning a capitol murder, or somthing? LOL
Even in the states that have the death penalty there are few done. I live/work where there are a lot of things I don't agree with. I just have to pick what I choose to do about others wisdom, or lack of same. For me, ignorance is sometimes the best policy. - So I ignore some peoples ignorance.

If I could choose anyplace I want to work and live, it would be in Southern California, or San Luis Obispo, California. I have lived and worked at a lot of places in California, and there's no place like being nearest to the Pacific Blue Waters there. Ahhhhhhhhh! The fresh cool waters...the warm breeze that brushes past my skin and face as I take in a very deep breath and let it out slowly. I can envision it so well. I love California! :)
