HI Everyone!
How difficult french proficiency examination is? How about the nursing board examination?
Im also a Filipino who wanted to work in quebec as a nurse!
Questions:
1. how many duty hours per day are allowed during this 40 days integration?
2. can i ask how much is the salary?
3. what is the purpose of CA$ 6000 in the application ?
4. Is it true that the 5 months schooling and 40 days integration, free?
Tanx for the reply... godbless, thank you guyz...
HI Everyone,
How was your stay in quebec as a student and then become a nurse? Im really confused right now since i tied up with an agency here in the Philippines. i was given an option to choose between federal or quebec canada. in federal, they will apply me as an immigrant while in quebec, it would be a student or tourist visa and then they are the ones who will apply in the integration program for me. Can you advice me on this... tanx for the reply. Regarding the waiting period for the visa, quebec student/tourist visa is faster and lesser pay than the federal. However, what is the good thing in federal is that you are immigrant already upon arrival there. At the moment, i am undecided still . please share your ideas about these... tanx a lot and godbless

The average Canadian nurse has no knowledge of any of the things you are asking about.
You've kind of hijacked a thread that started out on working conditions in Quebec hospitals.

hi! dotaboy:nurse: regarding you questions I think the earlier post would help you a lot, try to read them... I think you're lucky that you are able to pass the point system as an immigrant through the federal system... as for the integration I have known from my agency that they will pay you according to your number of working hours.. I can't remember the correct figures.. and for the exam it will take you 2 days bec. it's consist of two parts.. and of course you have to pay for this exam as well:cool: but he frech exam is for free.. right now I'm also processing my papers I hope you can make the right decision.. but If you want more information everything is written in this thread just take some time to read them... God bless to all of us.
Does anyone know about any Filipino who already pass the french exam...
thanks...

These posts have been pruned from the original thread to a new thread in the International forum. The purpose of the Canadian Nurses forum is for the discussion of issues that relate to the average Canadian nurse in the Canadian health care workforce. It is not for the discussion of immigration-related issues, as is clearly stated in the red banner at the top of the forum home page. ALL such discussions are to take place within the International forum. This notice has been stated many times in many threads. Please pay attention and read what has been previously posted. Thank you.

If you have relevant work experience tol, you should apply as permanent worker(immigrant). Do you already have your recommendation from OIIQ for the integration program? What agency is that tol? A friend of mine also referred me to this agency who also offers assistance for nurses to get in Quebec. I'm still hesitant because the representative told me that probably I' gonna have to apply for a tourist visa if OIIQ requires me to undergo a 40-day integration program, and a student visa if its 5 mos. I'm not sure if a tourist visa will give as the benefit to take the integration program.
