thank you for your reply miasat. :) i thought you also brought the attestations with you to quebec and personally submitted it oiiq. so, just your application form and other supporting documents. i'll just have prc and my school then to send the attestations as stated on oiiq's directives.

hi miasat! i'm currently in the philippines. i've already read and did my research concerning integration program for internationally educated professional nurses. my application packet and documents are now complete. everything is ready to be mailed back to oiiq. however, i asked my school, prc and my employer that i will be the one to send all the attestation forms in their original sealed envelopes together with my comparative form and all other supporting documents. i thought i could save money if i will send them all to oiiq in one mail. i understand that its on their directives that it must be sent directly by the institution/organization who are completing the forms. in your case you brought them to quebec and personally submitted the attestation forms in their orig. envelopes. but, will oiiq accept the attestation forms which are all in sealed envelopes as valid and genuine, if i mail them myself together my application for comparative and all other documents? you prompt reply will be greatly appreciated. :) thank you!

I tried to visit OIIQ's website for more information. However, I failed to find the e-amil address where I need to send my request letter for the kit, for the equivalence application. I'm reluctant if this is the same email address ([email protected])? Thank you! :)

You need to send OIIQ a letter in writing. In your letter you should state your intentions for applying for the program, and on why you chose Quebec and your plans. Also include in your mail your complete mailing address and your contact numbers. They will send you a kit once they receive your letter, it contains all the forms you need to fill up. Don't worry because on the forms there are information on what to do and the documents you need to send them.

If you have relevant work experience tol, you should apply as permanent worker(immigrant). Do you already have your recommendation from OIIQ for the integration program? What agency is that tol? A friend of mine also referred me to this agency who also offers assistance for nurses to get in Quebec. I'm still hesitant because the representative told me that probably I' gonna have to apply for a tourist visa if OIIQ requires me to undergo a 40-day integration program, and a student visa if its 5 mos. I'm not sure if a tourist visa will give as the benefit to take the integration program.

Thanks for the reply yoopian! :) I thought of that too, however I don't even have enough working experience to be eligible for Quebec Selection Certificate. hehe I'm thinking that if I hold a recommendation from OIIQ, the agency can help me get a visa so I can go to Quebec and take the integration program. Hi. I'm here in the Philippines right now and I'm a registered nurse. I have a friend who referred me to this agency who claims can help us facilitate in getting a job their in Canada - Quebec in particular. As what I have understand, we must hold the recommendation from the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ) to undergo the integration program, then they will help us go to Canada to take the professional integration nursing in Quebec. The representative from that agency told us that our visa will depend on the length of the integration program that the Order will require us to take. According to the agent minimum is 40 days to maximum of 5-6 mos. If we are given 3 mos. to take finish the integration program we would get a tourist visa, and a student visa if we will have to take it for 5-6 mos. Now, I understand the whole process about taking the integration program for nurses who are internationally educated nurses, pass the integration program to be a CPN, take a French test, then take the licensure exam to be a registered nurse in Quebec. I thought it would be a good thing to consult other people who might have enough idea or knowledge about the integration program for nurses in Quebec, Canada. My concerns and my questions are: 1.) Can I apply for the recommendation from the Order even if I'm not a Canadian Citizen nor a permanent resident of Quebec? (2.) Given that I can apply for the integration program, and If I get the recommendation from the Order to take the integration program, can I really be admitted for the attestation program under a tourist visa?(3.) How much is the fee for the integration program? (3.) Does the length of the program really depends on my qualifications? (4.) Am I the one who will have to find a school to be admitted for the prgram once I get in Quebec? I would really appreciate all your replies and information that you can share with me.
