Thank you

Where did you go for fnp?

Most of our class went to $immon$ or Herzing. Many are now @Charles Drew, US Uni. and Chamberlain. Some even went back to ICHS. Vanderbilt has a short program now tho without a RN. Wasn't available when I started.

Where did you go for fnp?

Will look into Vanderbilt.

Ijeomah12, first u said back in 2018 u like the program and recommend it and now you say its a scam. Could u explain that?

don't listen to her. The program isn't organized or perfect but it gets u thru fast and quick with hours completed. They will pass u if your nice and flexibel. Most notes are handed down before the quarter leaves and teachers are very helpful for the finals notes. There are always people who complain about everything. I was one of them. Just get in get working and learn your craft. COVID ER contracts were $4500 per week for 2 months. it was good deal until the buzz fell out.

@Kris,

I am glad you wrote because, you were at ICHS before me. In fact, you graduated I think a year before because, I asked you questions about ICHS before I could even start if, you dig into previous post. This being said, it will be right to say that, a lot changed after you left. Many students who were there at the time can attest to what I am saying. The school got worst and turned into a scam ground for a fact. How in the world can someone pay 32.000 for an online program that never had any virtual lectures instead, slides. How can someone pay that amount and only gain nothing. Don't forget you had to pay for travel expenses, rooming, feeding, transportation and etc. Another thing was, most instructors, not all had no mercy, they were always angry and intended to kick someone out of the program especially, if you are minority like me. When you arrived late from your flight and get to clinicals like 10 or 20 minutes late, they will send you home and not even consider your flight time. They treated many like kids but, only cared for the money. It was always " we need someone in the president office like, something is wrong". People were sent home for not having blood pressure cuffs. It was to the point that, many of the preceptor nurses at those facilities had to call out the school for the way they treated students. These are just a few.

The time I said the program was good was during my first semester. Everything was going great and unbelievable. Things took a total change after first semester. It got worst, from bad to worse. Especially, when they brought in their Dr. Ober. Oh boy, things changed, it was bad. Full of inconsistencies and nonsense.

Yes everything you indicated was correct during my tenure too. Context is everything. I am sorry, there are 2 correct truthes' @ICHS. I know they are money hungry scam artists but in life you have to sometimes kiss the *** of a donkey. Pay to play and that is what I mean to people who want the letters RN to move to the next step. I know so many people who lost tens of thousands of dollars and then were not able to write the final for some obscene reason. You are correct and I am sorry. I guess people should be prepared for the militant BS and moving goal posts. I was just numb to it and pushed, forced and yelled my way through. I just had a plan and rolled with the days, flights, teachers and scams. I finished and done. Got the experience @the hospital and suffered through and then finished the FNP masters and now on to the Post-Masters certificate. All in under three years bc of ICHS and the other schools. It's only a means to an ends. It is what you are saying correct but I had a plan. With my experience now I command almost $80/hour rate travel nursing on the west coast.

Business is america is unfair and troubled. But sometimes if you want it bad enough you will do anything. I was at that point. And that is how I approach ICHS or any school. Everyone should listen to your post and know what they are in for. Amen.

@krisdew2 I've read through some of your threads and have many conflicting stories. You seem to have a lot of experience and before I sign my life away to ICHS or Keiser University, I'd like a 5 min chat with you if possible? I live now in Portland, Oregon and have family in Florida, I'd commute and stay there

@amyrose1214I am currently enrolled in ICHS, just finished my second semester. While it is true that they are disorganized and seem to be "Learning as they go" which can be very frustrating. Esp now with all the covid restrictions. I have found that the didactic instructors are good and we do have weekly class Zoom meetings, though some of the instructors are better than others and they too seem to be disorganized. The clinicals are less impressive but they will get you the hours you need to graduate...you will have a lot to learn when you start to work. Like @krisdew2 says at the end end of the day if you have a goal keep you focus on that goal and you will get through, you just have to let some stuff "roll off your back". The program is not perfect but it seems to get the job done. As far as I know it is the only program that offers the AS degree on line. I do not know I will stay at ICHS for the BS or FNP, but for now the AS program seems to be getting me one step closer to my goal.

Thank you for responding and being honest. Ya well out of pocket I can’t afford it and was looking into other financing for it.
thanks so much, I did get accepted into Keiser university as well. But I’d have to move to Florida with family. That’s why I was looking into the hybrid program. Ha, ya too good to be true.

thanks so much!
