Krisdew2, can you tell me what the face book page is?
I am considering attending ICHS in the RN with the goal of becoming a FNP, but I hear so much about choosing a school that is “accrededted by the right group” and I’m worried that I may not be able to get liscensed in either Nevada or Arizona. Are there any ICHS grad who practice in NV or Az?
yes i agree its confusing. If a school gets conditional accreditation from the state education agency, you will be approved to sit the NCLEX after the school send the state board affirmation you have passed the requirements. Once u pass the NCLEX u are an RN. And there u can apply for licensure to any state. In my experience, take the jump, do the work and get the credentials. RN is a very useful degree and very few states will not license you. Don't listen to all the nonsense. Ask your state nursing board if they will license you by endorsement through nurSYS.
My class from ICHS is almost done the FNP and many before us are already working board certified. The FB group has closed due to all of us have picked our FNP programs and some even went back to ICHS for their new FNP program in 16 months. Sounds too good to be true.
In the 3 yrs since i graduated ICHS there are so many new FNP programs that don't even require you to have a RN. Just another bachelors degree. Check out Vanderbilt, Simmons, and Loyola M. Herzing, Chamberlain and US University. So many options.

Once you graduate from the program and have your ATT. Ping me. We have aFB group of all graduates who have vetted all the FNP programs down to RN experience, cost, online, timeline etc. All the work has been done for you. We have 4 post grad ICHS students going to one f the online schools but i heard now that ICHS has the FNP approved. So I am sure they will make it quicker and cheaper for you to stay there.
