    ICHS ..accelerated nursing program

Most of our class went to $immon$ or Herzing. Many are now @Charles Drew, US Uni. and Chamberlain. Some even went back to ICHS. Vanderbilt has a short program now tho without a RN. Wasn't available when I started.

    ICHS ..accelerated nursing program

In the 3 yrs since i graduated ICHS there are so many new FNP programs that don't even require you to have a RN. Just another bachelors degree. Check out Vanderbilt, Simmons, and Loyola M. Herzing, Chamberlain and US University. So many options.

    Herzing FNP

Sorry for the lapse in responding. I just graduated Herzing. WRT to the clinical preceptors, I was given a list of over 100+ sits with 30 within my radius and realistically 10 doable with traffic and work. All office managers I contacted accepted my queries and welcomed me in except 1 for pediatrics. I did also ask my hospital education head for her help and she gave me 2 other sites that were available. The only caveat is the preceptors did charge a fee from $500 to $1000 each. I ended up choosing the sites from the Herzing list since I wanted to finish quick. The paper work and physical paperwork was all done online. It was as easy and the Tasha Hoople and Dr. Ebert made it simple. Even one of my preceptors was denied but Dr. E and T. Hoople rushed my secondary application and allowed me to finish on schedule. Herzing did all the heavy lifting. Truthfully, if you can't make a call and get a preceptorship opp. Write me and I will guide you how to do it. It is a learning curve but I luckily have a business and sales background.

    Herzing FNP

I am at Herzing with a year to go. I wholeheartedly endorse the entire program. The support staff, Meaghan, Dr. Ebert, Dr. Penick, many of the instructors and Julie Kusta. All angels in that place. Best decision so far. Much respect for the student centric view point. They all know how hard it is to do this and bend over backward for you every time I have had any issue. The work is busy and consistent. Its online so you learn what you want. But its organized and the support staff and clinicians are ALWAYS available. Much thanks to them.

    ICHS ..accelerated nursing program

My class from ICHS is almost done the FNP and many before us are already working board certified. The FB group has closed due to all of us have picked our FNP programs and some even went back to ICHS for their new FNP program in 16 months. Sounds too good to be true.

yes i agree its confusing. If a school gets conditional accreditation from the state education agency, you will be approved to sit the NCLEX after the school send the state board affirmation you have passed the requirements. Once u pass the NCLEX u are an RN. And there u can apply for licensure to any state. In my experience, take the jump, do the work and get the credentials. RN is a very useful degree and very few states will not license you. Don't listen to all the nonsense. Ask your state nursing board if they will license you by endorsement through nurSYS.

    ICHS ..accelerated nursing program

the program is an online 1 year accelerated program. It is a means to an ends. DO not expect to learn everything but you will learn enough to pass the NCLEX and move forwards. Its a great opportunity for students like us who need to broaden scope of care towards FNP.

Once you graduate from the program and have your ATT. Ping me. We have aFB group of all graduates who have vetted all the FNP programs down to RN experience, cost, online, timeline etc. All the work has been done for you. We have 4 post grad ICHS students going to one f the online schools but i heard now that ICHS has the FNP approved. So I am sure they will make it quicker and cheaper for you to stay there.

I am working in a hospital now. My only regret is I didn't do it 5 years ago when I was told about this program. I start my ADN-FNP bridge program next month.

    Accelerated Nursing Program..ICHS

You do not need to move to FL for the program. Most of the students are foreign MD or other medical professionals looking to jump into an NP program after the ADN/RN. Tthey are also trying to get an FNP program approved. If you are older, start now and go there for clinical rotations. You can move anytime but i wouldn't move there just for the school. Volunteer at hospitals in your community and use your connections to network within a specialty you might have interest. The program goes fast ans I am almost done. Studying for the finals and NCLEX now. The sooner you start the better it is. It will take you time to get a job and make connections. I can send you my information if you need further personal advice.
