Congrats on being accepted!
My advice is to get everything done ASAP! CPR can be hard to find (time wise), so start looking now! Our fire dept does it for $15!!!!! I could have also gone to the local ambulance company and paid over $60 for the same training. Make sure you get the right certification at the right level. It is usually BLS certification that we need. Our hospitals here require it to come from the American Heart Association---not Red Cross. I knew a couple of new students that didn't read instructions completely and had to find another place to go and pay again.
Good luck and ENJOY!

Wow it is so surreal I start my clinical rotation in 2 weeks from today. I am so unprepared. I feel like I am caught in a whirlwind. There is so much to do with insane deadlines like a full phsyical with blood, urine, ppd (which I test positive so it is just a xray for me) and booster shots, medical malpractice insurance and cpr certification. I am amazed how fast they expect us to have this all done with a deadline of the 21st. AHHHHH.... Keep me in your prayers as I am fearful of the future but O so excited about finally becoming a nurse. Are there any hints or tips you can offer ?? What do I need ? Thanks for your time. Keri (future RN) I AM IN I CANT BELIEVE IT!!!!!!!!
