Nursing Students Post Graduate

Specializes in Medical-Surgical.

Which online university accepts this and gives it credit towards a FNP program? I am hoping to choose a reputable, affordable program with great online capabilities. Anybody, have any experience related recommendations? Thank you in advance.

Specializes in Quality Management.

You’d have to contact individual schools of nursing and ask that question. Best of luck

How would any of these courses translate to a NP degree? You would need to take all the same course as everyone else without a masters.

I have spoken to some programs for admission and possibly one or two courses would apply. Don't ask me which at this point as I can not remember.

Specializes in PMHNP.

I also graduated Leadership & Management and Advanced Pharmacology and Advanced Health Assessment transfer toward my PMHNP post graduate certificate. I would only need to take Advanced Pathophysiology at UA (Alabama).

If you live in Alabama, Florida, Georgia or Mississippi, UA has an online FNP post graduate certificate. Very affordable and I believe only (1) one-day visit in the first semester.

Specializes in Trauma-Surgical, Case Management, Clinic.

I have a MSN from . I'm finishing up a post master's cert in FNP and University of Texas at Arlington. It's 100% online. They only accepted like one or two classes from WGU. I had previously taken grad level advanced patho and pharm at another university and they accepted those also but you are pretty much starting the FNP coursework from the beginning. Also, I didn't find out until I was accepted at UTA that you don't qualify for federal loans because a post master's is considered non degree seeking. So I'm paying out of pocket. Some schools will allow you to do fed loans for post master's tho.
