lol...I absolutely froze... :o I did not know what to buy. After reading all the supply threads, etc....I still didn't know what to buy. I realized right in the middle of aisle 3 that I am going to nursing school, I'm really going to nursing school. I did bring myself to buy a 4" expandable binder and a 1" binder, 2 boxes of Papermate blue and black ball point pens. In my 4" binder, I'm going to split my syllabus up into 15 wks. And in my 1" binder, I'll carry the section for whatever week I'm in with me in my backpack. As the weeks go by I will go and get more supplies....after all the back to school sales will only get better and better.

EEK! That freezing up feeling in Staples, huh? :)

Sounds like you have a good start though.... maybe add to your list some #2 pencils for those scantron test forms, xtra eraser for when the eraser breaks or smudges those #2 pencil erasers you're using for the exam scantron forms, a calculator, highlighters, post-it notes, index cards......

Have fun and enjoy it. I love to buy supplies. :)

Fatima, I just have to tell you, your post makes me smile....I remember when you first found out you were pregnant and how "sorta bummed" you were that you had to wait to start school...and now here you are...in Staples buying supplies...LOL I am so happy for you.

Just thought I'd tell you that. :)

lol! bless your heart! I can totally relate. I am going "school shopping" next weekend, and I have already been making lists of all the things that I want/need. Otherwise I will just wander around the store grabbing everything I see and I will end up with nothing that I needed! Sounds like you made some really good selections. I would suggest some Bic mechanical pencils just cause I have bad luck with the wooden #2 pencils, somehow, I always end up breaking them! Also, lots of filler paper and maybe some pocket dividers for extra storage. Isn't school shopping fun??? :D

Hey all! I was just gonna tell ya what I have found to work well. I bought 3" binders for each of my classes. Put course pack in there along with lined paper. I bought page sticky flags to use as each chapter (or unit) dividers. I fount it to work better than dividers. I also ensure that my binders have the pockets on the inside of the cover. The 4 colored pen, and white oue. Mechanical pencils and white erasers. A binder whole punch for handouts. MAny highllighters. mini stapler. page flags for "flagging" in med book ect...

Hope this helped in some way!

you know, I was at office depot the other week and they had a highlighter that had those post-it flag thingies built in to the cap. i thought that was just to coolest thing, but I didn't get it cause highlighting doesn't really work for me. but it still is a cool idea.

Gotta love those cute little mini staplers....fit great into the 3-hole punched zipper bag that I keep my pens/pencils/highlighters in....and advil, pepto bismol tablets, :imbar

Hehe I am such a dork I actually bought those highlighters with the flags in them! :chuckle they are such a great idea! If highlighters are not your thing they even have a pen with the flags in it!

Hi Maire,

That was sweet....thanks for the kind words.
