I took 80 questions is that bad?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I just took NCLEX on 6/20/2015 and I took 80 questions and I the screen was shut off. I left the room after checking out and sat in my car and cried. I felt sick. I do not believe that having many SATA means anything and I got only about 7 and one ranking question. I did the PVT after 24 hours and got the "good" pop up. I am so nervous. Everybody I know that took it this month either had 75 or 265 questions. I don't know what to think.

You really do not need to be condescending. People post to ask questions because NCLEX time is difficult and that does not give you permission to be disrespectful. I am not an idiot.

Based on your OP I didn't think you could possibly be a real person because it seemed like you were just repeating what hundreds of previous posters have said about taking the NCLEX (even the crying in your car part).

You were making fun of them, ("Everybody I know that took it this month either had 75 or 265 questions"), so I just teased you back a bit. Now you are all butthurt (great new word, huh) and getting snarky back at me. Seriously, have you not read any other threads on this board? The search function can be your friend and save you much chastisement.

"People post to ask questions ...." And I don't believe you asked any questions.

Your NCLEX score will determine the veracity of your last statement.

Take a deep breath. It does not matter how many questions you had. It does not matter what type of questions you had. The computer scoring system simply determined after 80 questions that you either passed or failed. I am not going to post long details on how the exam is scored, you can find this information on the NCSBN web site.

Mr. Mavrick BSN, RN, I am a real person and if you check I joined this group the day I made the post and do not know what others are posting. I am new to this group.

With that said, I am now a Registered Nurse.

Yes I passed NCLEX. I am very happy!!!!!

Yet another useless thread about PVT that has got to be a joke. They join, don't read a dang thing and start posting nonsense.

For a nurse with so many years of experience, you have the compassion of a city rat. When people are taking this exam, you know they are worried and concerned and want any shred of comfort from others who have already done what they are doing. You are very disrespectful and discouraging.

I think we need to remember how we felt when we took our boards. Yes there are many of us who waited 3 to 4 months for results but we were also allowed to work. I feel for the new grads. Their anxiety is no different now then it was back then.....except we were anxious for 3 months.

Just a reminder.........

Allnurses supports a good debate members are free to disagree with anyone on any type of subject matter as long as the criticism is constructive and polite. We also ask members to refrain from name-calling. This is divisive, rude, and derails the thread.

Allnurses first priority is to the members that have come here because of the flame-free atmosphere we provide. There is a zero-tolerance policy here against personal attacks. We will not tolerate anyone insulting other's opinion nor name calling.

Our call is to be supportive, not divisive.

I tell my children all the time if you have nothing nice to say.......say nothing at all!
