hey everyone,
i just took the NCLEX-RN today, and it stopped at 76. i felt so sick after, and i had no idea how i did. i had priority questions, 1 select all that apply, no math stuff, lots of medsurg, labs, peds, no OB i think, few psych. i had lots of meds, 4 on echanecea. i think i did bad on the pharm stuff, so when it went past 75, i was kinda glad that i could do better on the next questions, but at 76, i answered it, and it shut off. im sooooooo worried. i think i already missed the pharm part, that the screen just shut off. :(

Horrible feeling isn't it??? Mine shut off at 75 and I was thinking. NOOOO, I can do better give more questions.
Well last night I re-read how the test works and was reminded, that once it gets you into your ability level - you will get about 50% wrong. That's why that test sucks so bad. You know what it feels like to get 80% or better on a test so 50% just feels so HORRIBLE.
Hang in there! Post when you find out. I sure will!!!

I took NCLEX today and stopped at 75!!!! I would have loved to have had one more question!!! Yes it feels terrible. Machine cut off and I sat and cried and had to pull myself together. Lots of delegation, priority, two check all that apply. These are going to be a long two days!!!!! That goodness I'm in a state where I can get rapid results. I feel for the ones that have to wait forever...
I think 76 is a very good sign!! Hang in there.

It is Valentine's Day today, take the day for yourselves. I am sure that you all did just fine. Everyone feels like it is the worst day of their life and know for sure that they did not pass, but guess what????
Most of you do pass the first time...................
(And the number of questions means not one thing..... )
I know you say in every thread about the number of questions not meaning anything...so for this moment, I'm going to believe you!
I'm going to dinner with my husband and some friends tonight. I planned it because I knew I'd need something to look forward to! Plus, free margaritas with dinner....
For now, a nap!
Thanks for all of your encouragement. It really is nice to have people to talk to that know exactly how you are feeling.

Oh my goodness, you guys are scaring the **** out of me! I'm going to take with me ,tomorrow, the expectation I will not know every answer, and I'll probably feel like a wreck when it's over, and that's OK. EDNurse, I'll be doing margaritas tomorrow!!! Crossing fingers for all today's test-takers!
