I wish I never went back to school for nursing. It has made me nearly suicidal for the last 6 years. Now I am studying for the NCLEX. Yeah, like I am going to have total recall of all the info from the last 3 years. I am doing the Kaplan trainers and am doing horrible. I get about 50% right after practicing with over 600 questions. I just can not remember all the info. Additionally, the schooling lasted so long that I have lost all drive to continue. I really no longer care about nursing. When I started school I was so jazzed, but now I feel like the carrot dangled in front of my nose for too long and my passion for the career has faded. I wish I never went for nursing. I doubt I will pass the NCLEX. If I don't pass I predict my drive will fall further. Then I will be stuck with a useless BSN. Wow, I feel like I have made a huge mistake.
I kinda felt the same way. I was so burnt out from school. I also did horrible on the Kaplan trainers. My recommendation is to do as many of the Kaplan questions as possible. I did 100% of the Q bank. I passed my NCLEX with 85 questions. I thought the test was easy. I also saw some of the prep questions on the actual exam. Read ALL the rationales!!! Good luck. You can do it!!!
