My expectation is that moving forward with necessary investigations and accountability for the malfeasance and corruption will be portrayed as partisan political witch hunting by the right wing media bubble. That devoted market will believe the characterization and they will hear that this is all about hating Trump more than loving the country. I fully anticipate that there will be little change in the hate language and focus of Fox cable programming.
We've just experienced the chaos of a completely unfit, incompetent and corrupt president and administration that ended it's rein of carnage with 400k deaths and violent insurrection. This isn't going to go away just because Trump lost the election and a new administration is beginning. There is a large segment of America that is indoctrinated and resistant to facts and evidence, and my guess is that they are going to continue to believe lies told by and for Trump. Already they are believing lies about Biden, Harris and the cabinet.
We are divided and we cannot unite more fully until we address those things that would tear us apart. In order to do that we must confront the lies, corruption and sedition that currently consume the Republican party. In my opinion, we cannot achieve peace without walking hand in hand with truth and justice.

As nurses, we are taught to identify the problem initially and seek a solution with ongoing evaluation as to success. Diseased parts are excised if other solutions are unattainable.
JUST AS TRUMP WAS SILENCED AND EVICTED solving the problem of Trumpia(Maria) ???, sorry couldn't help it. I firmly believe that the govt officials everywhere from state to federal that participated in QAnon and conspiracy theories, needs to be identified and prosecuted!
It is not possible to engage in such stupidity and not have repeatedly made stupid decisions on the way to elected positions. My motto is NEVER TO SYMPATHETIZE WITH THE STUPID!
Intelligence doesn't work through Osmosis! We have seen to the tune of 400k deaths, exactly what stupid entails!
Root them out and banish them! My friends and relatives are too important to me!

I've had my fair share of trials of tribulations and I have had to work through them, often alone. This doesn't mean I carry myself in the best light at all times because because some events in my life have made me ugly. I think we can all identify with this.
Today we have a choice. The choice is to allow our nation a new era of healing. We need to stop being the right or left and embrace those people who get up each morning get dressed and leave their home to work, to build and contribute only to return home at the end of the day tired, feeling that not enough was accomplished.
This change cannot be accomplished by one side telling the other that they are completely right and the other completely wrong. This type of tactic will only serve to maintain division.
I'm talking about ordinary people who decend from one of the greatest experiments in democracy. These are the folks who just want to live and work in peace. I am talking about doctors, nurses, fire department personal, soldiers, teachers, farmers, truckers and retail establishments, trades folk and yes those people that seem to do no work at all. It is time for combatants on both sides to withdraw and make a choice to stop fighting and begin building.
Poet Marianne Williamson wrote that " Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us."
We can choose to stop tearing at eachothers throats and start working towards that greatness. Quit painting eachother with the wide brush that only feeds discrimination. Let's look at each-other as individuals with unique strengths and weaknesses.
We will not heal or even have a nation worth living in if we the people allow those on the far right and far left set the rules of engagement.
We can build each other up beyond measurement or we can keep each other on the ground, your choice.
My choice is to encourage the people around me and make this world a better place . Better for me, my husband , and better for my child. A BETTER WORLD FOR ALL.

Great post.
As evidenced by the comments above, some just can't grasp it. Sad, just sad.

Does your comment imply that you believe that accountability for Trump and his sycophants would be too divisive? Gosh...that would represent quite a change of attitude from the Benghazi, email server, lock her up crowd.
