I am taking A and P 2 and Microbiology!!!

Hello all I am taking A and P 2 and Microbiology this fall. Can anyone tell me what I am getting myself into? Is Micro really that hard?

I took A&P I (a little easier than A&P II) with micro, and also took nutrition and a speech class, all in one semester. I made all A's, so it can be done, but I studied my butt OFF! Be careful about taking other classes, and put lots of time into it and you'll be fine. I'm glad I got all that out of the way, because then all I had left was A&P II, which I took with my first nursing classes. I think that if you study hard that you will be glad that you got them both out of the way, too, and will feel quite accomplished at the end. :D Good luck!

Oh yeah...take what people say about it with a grain of salt. People had me SO freaked out about it, and it wasn't too bad. It's easy to get worked up about it, though, and lose focus. They are both fascinating subjects, and that helps.

I guess that also depends on whether or not you work...I worked full time and took A&P2 & Micro together last Fall. I ended up with A's in both, but a lot of the time I wanted to pull my hair out.. lol. It is doable, just be committed to studying a LOT and you'll be fine. Good luck!! :D

I did it...it's definitely do-able. :)

A & P was a challenge...but Micro wasn't really that hard.

My school doesn't allow you to take micro unless you're done with A&P. So I haven't taken micro yet and I'm scared of it. Having gone through A&P 2, I wouldn't want to take another hard class with it. But I'm sure it can be done....good luck!

It won't be a walk in the park but it is very doable. You will not be the first nor the last to do those classes together. Just keep on top of the readings and the work. Besides once the real nursing courses start it won't be any easier so you might as well get used to it.

Exactly! I am glad I took A&P and micro together because I got used to studying all the time. The next semester when I was taking A&P II, Medical Terminology, and my two nursing classes, everyone was freaking out about the amount of work we had just in the nursing classes. It didn't even faze me because I was used to a huge workload because of the previous semester. I felt much more prepared for nursing school.

I'm taking them both together online this summer with psych thrown in for fun :p I expect to get A's... its very doable, but it is a LOT of work, luckily I don't work and the kids aren't doing school. Micro is very interesting but the labs suck (boring!) and AP just works your butt off!

You should enjoy it, they are great classes! :)
