I take my NET on Saturday

Hey Fatima,

Are you taking your NET to get into nursing school? I know it seems like a silly question, but I thought you were in school already? I took mine in March and it wasn't bad at all. Just do all the math questions you know and if you get the basics right, you will still do fine. I'm surprised it is 4 hours or is that how long they give you to take it? Mine took about 2 hours to finish. Good luck, I'm sure you'll do great!

Hi Nicky,

Yes, I'm taking the NET for my nursing program at my college. I did get accepted last year but I forfeited my spot due to complications in my pregnancy. So I have to take it again....I just have to score in the 50th percentile or higher....yikes!!!!

fatima, i wish you the best. it too about 4 hrs [it seemed like more because i worked 7p-7a and went to take the test at 8a. i had the worst ha after ] when i took the net. let us know how it goes.

Just want to say "Good Luck" to you on the test. I haven't taken it yet. I was suppose to take it last Feb. but got sick and couldn't. Now I am waiting it out until next Feb. I got a book by ARCO to help me study. I just wonder how close the actual test is to the material I've been studying in the book. What did you use to study? Let us know how your testing goes. My fingers will be crossed for ya!

I took it last year and used the NET study guide ISBN 0-9675446-0-2 (they had it at our school bookstore).....I was amazed at how similar the questions on the test were to the q's in the book, I mean they were basically word for word.

The test is no big deal at all. Just make sure you read the instructions (i messed up on the reading rate part b/c I was expecting them to ask questions after the fact, but it didn't hurt my score or anything).

Our school gave us the NET test after we were accepted into the program. Did any of you get to use a calculator? Because we didn't and I ended up taking a long time on the math part and not even getting to the algebra section.

The next big test we take is HESI.
