well today is my day. i take boards in just a few short hours. i couldn't sleep anymore, so i thought i would share my nervousness with all of you.
i have had an upset belly all weekend just thinking about today.
i hope i am prepared enough to pass. i work as a graduate practical nurse at a local hospital, and i love my job. just last week, two of my patients gave me flowers and told me i was the best nurse they ever had. i love being a nurse.
i am continuing my education in may with my prereqs for the rn program, i just have to get through today.......please everyone, send me good vibes.....
i will keep you all posted....i should know my results on weds....but i will let you know what was on the test when i get back

I'm wishing you the best Nurse Patty! I hope you do well. You know when I was in the Navy taking my first advancement exam, I was so excited and nervous that I didn't sleep at all because I was afraid I would over sleep. Had to wait 3 months to find out I made it.
Let us know how you do and what you think of the exam!

I remember very well the morning I took my LPN boards many moons ago. My Mom dropped me off at the testing site on her way to work. After being checked in by a Monitor, I sat down at one of the long tables along with several hundred other candidates. Several minutes later, we were greeted by the head of our State's Practical Nursing Board of Examiners. I wasn't nervous, until she announced solemnly: "Let us pray". This is
for real, I thought, as she then led us all in a moving and motivational
prayer. I did fine on the exam, though I had no idea as to whether or not I had passed it afterwards...much to my Mom's dismay (I don't know who was more nervous...me or her!).
Good luck! :balloons:

I wish you much success!!!
I will be taking LPN boards hopefully in 4-8 weeks so I am anxiously awaiting your thoughts on your test.
i am exhausted!!!!!
i really don't know how well i did. i guess many people walk out of there saying the same thing. my computer shut off at 85......i had a lot of prioritizing.....a few meds...no math.....a few cultural....a few of everything i guess.
so i won't know anything till weds morning, and i have to work, so my next post will be weds night, when i get home from work, and let you all know if i passed, or have more studying to do.
i think i am going to go and take a nap......
thanks for all the good wishes and vibes.....

i got lucky during my wait...my super an rn and our don called the board to verify my liscense and they just gave her the number even before i was on the web registry...so my coworkers surprised me with a cake and not to mention my new pay.....my friend kept telling me "he didn't bring you this far to leave you" and i stood on those words since...
god bless...
