I am SOOOOOO mad at myself

and it's only 1 stupid point but it doesn't matter. Today we had an exam in my Pathophysiology class. I come upon question 32,

I don't remember the exact wording, but something about, We can expect to find this type of obstruction with nerve damage

A) Mechanical

B)Paralytic Illeus

C)To much peanuts and beer

So Ok I color in B and go on my way. So then a student goes and asks the teacher something and he is like, JUST TO CLARIFY on question 32 I am talking about the SMALL Intestine. So I go back to look and I am like CRAP, Parlalytic illeus is most common in regards to your bowels s/s include constipation and no bowel sounds. Majority of your Mechanical Obstructions are in your SI and PI can be anywhere in the intestines so after going back and forth I change my answer to A. I told myself it can't be A, because even if he said it was in the throat Nerve= PI NOT mechanical. But did I change it back and just ignore the comment about the SI?? No of course not.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I could just kick myself.

Ok sorry I just had to vent because I tied to tell my mom and husband and they were like :bugeyes::bugeyes: having no clue what I was even talking about. My husband was like, well maybe he will see you marked it right and then changed it and still give you credit. I was like, ummm honey, that's not how it works. I wish the teacher would have never said that about it being in the SI but I should have stuck to what I knew even if the new thing he said didn't make sense. I knew better, or I obviously didn't!!!

Long story short: I'm taking an exam, teacher comes over and looks at the question I'm on, she shakes her head and tells me to " remember what I said about this condition in class" , so after that I changed my already right answer to the wrong answer. I should have also stuck to my guns ! I knew the answer however after she put in her two cents I changed it. My fiance said the same thing " Its just one point" , however it still kinda stings. What did I learn ? To never change an answer even when your instructor talks about the exam.

I just said the other day that I wish I had the nerve to take my test with a pencil that did not have an eraser. It never fails, I have the right answer and change it to the wrong answer, UGH!

I said the same thing about the pencil without the eraser. I am not very good about taking tests. I have to work very hard so that anxiety does not take over my body during that time.

I am terrible at taking tests. It's so frustrating. In my patho class I have A's on everything BUT the exams. I even have them on the quizzes.

I had my first cardiac exam last week. I had an answer correct and my instructor actually told me to change it. So I went with my second choice - and MISSED the question! LOL

I told her the next day at test review and she said "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry!". Well that doesn't help me now! LOL I could've had a 94 instead of a 92.

Oh well, live and learn!
