FINALLY! I got the high score on our chem test yesterday! Woo hoo! I really can't belive it! On the last test, I got a 16/42, but the high score was 18/42 and he wouldn't curve it because we all did bad and he said we deserved to flunk - I would have said we needed better teaching, but hey what do I know!? On this one I got a 36/42 and I'm ecstatic! Last fall I tried to take Chem 1 and it made no sense to me so it's nice to finally have it make sense! 1 more test and a final to get through, 2 weeks left...
Thanks, I just had to share!

:balloons: CONGRATS!!!:balloons: I hate chemistry b/c the concepts are soooo hard to understand. I passed inorganic chem w/a 4.0 last quarter (I had so many sleepless nights, worked my butt off, and drank peptobismol (sp?) like it was water). Anyway I am taking organic chem and A&P 1 next quarter and I am sooooooo scared. My inorganic chem teacher left and was replaced by this guy who is very hard...or so I'm told. I have a friend in his organic chem class right now and she said the average gpa in the class is 1.8 and she said he is not sympathetic at all. YIKES! So kudos to you!!!!! I love it when hard work pays off!!! BTW I think when most people in a class are failing the class it is more a reflection of the instructor rather than the students. Good luck!

That's awesome! Chemistry and I do NOT get along, so I think anyone who can do remotely well in it is brilliant

That is very, very cool. Great feeling, huh? Congratulations!
I don't have any instructors who curve. Maybe it's a schoolwide thing, I dunno. My economics professor is doing a cool thing, though...The final is optional. You can take it if you want to, and use the grade to replace any other test grade. If you are happy with the grade you have, then no cumulative final is required. You gotta love that!

Well, let's see...Technically this is my fourth time taking Chemistry. I took chemistry for my first undergrad degree and I got an F in General Chemistry, a C in the first part of Inorganic, Organic and General Chemistry, and a D for the second part. Needless to say that C didn't even transfer to the school I'm in now so I'm taking Chemistry over again and guess what...straight A's. I am truly motivated this go around. Trust me, I know how hard it is to grasp so much information in such a small amount of time...especially if you don't study (my problem the first go around). So CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
