I scheduled my NCLEX Exam

U.S.A. California

Hey folks!

Well, I scheduled my NCLEX exam. It's going to be on May 31st. Any prayers or comments out there would be appreciated. I need all the encouragement I can get. I'm looking forward to it and dreading it at the same time. :uhoh21:

Ok Tsheriff, I take it you took the nclex rn because of the 75 questions, Lord knows I know exactly how you feel. Keep your chin up, though. What I constantly told myself is that people who DID pass, but just KNEW and would have bet MONEY they failed didn't. I hold onto that. That goes for you too DaveLPN. The number of questions doesn't determine if you failed or not. It's just the computer's way of really trying to determine your knowledge, not to just write you off. I'm praying for both of you. T, look for jobs Buddy, sharpen up your resume. Think POSITIVELY!:wink2: Remember that I took mine last thursday and haven't heart peep, and probably won't for a while. I'm dying over here.

Thank you so much for the support. I just cant take it anymore....the waiting game...just waiting to find out if I passed the NCLEX. Today, I slept all day until 4:30pm in the afternoon, the anxiety level I have just exhausted me out. I guess my coping mechanism isnt working too well. What should I be doing in the mean time?

All I can offer is my personal experience. The first couple of days were pretty bad. I hurt so bad that I wasn't quite sure where to go with that pain either. But I can tell you this. Here I am 7 days in, and I'm not the basket case I was. I guess I had to give my body time to do what I consciously could not do: handle it for me. The further I get from it, the more I think that I probably passed. The things I got right come to me, not just the wrong stuff. If you studied hard in school, and studied seriously before you took the test, more than likely, you'll probably pass.

As for ole California me, I called the board today, and they told me it would take 4 weeks to get my results. I'm so discouraged.

i take the nclex Pn tomorrow....gosh, I don't think I should be reading these boards! I'm more afraid now than I was! I also heard 4 weeks to hear, so I think we should just take a break for awhile, we'll be working before we know it... and maybe brush up on skills. That way, you'll be studying for a job and that will work passing or not. Take care, all, say a prayer for me, too... and nurses ROCK! Hugs to all, Peggy

Just go in there and take your time. That's very important. Don't freak out if there's something that you don't know. Give it your best answer. Remember you've got 5 hours (LVN). Everybody thinks they've failed when they walk out,so I'd say that's almost normal. So don't feel like you're alone. I will be praying for you.

hello everyone,

I passed the NCLEX-RN exam, found out on the quick results.....I am officially an RN.....thank you all for your support. Now I can endorse my license to California.

Tsheriff, I'm so happy for you. I only hope that I pass too. You must feel like million bucks :biggringi :balloons:  :smiley_aa

Scooby, I'm in California. Good ole snail mail. Hot dog........ my friend told me her sister went to the same place I did, and we live in the same town and she got a letter from Pearson in one week. Well we'll see. Wouldn't that be ducky.

Sorry, but your friend gave you incorrect information. Pearson-Vue only handles the exma, they do not send out letters with the results. That comes from your Board that handled LVN licenses. And CA does not participate in early results, so there is no reason what so ever for Pearson-Vue to be sending any type of letter to you, or that friend's sister. She definitely is giving you the wrong information.

And the earliest that we have seen someone receive the letter from the Board that handles your license is about three weeks, it has never been in just a week. And then that is just a letter, it is not a license. You must pay the bill for the license before it will be issued.
