Yepee!!! I'm very happy today... I passed Nclex exam first time with 75 questions. I took my Nclex exam here in the Philippines last September 10, 2008. I got my result by mail yesterday, after 2 weeks of waiting. I don't expect it to be that fast. I have 15 Sata, tons of priorty, tons of infection control, endocrine, 1 computation, whom to see first by the nurse, about 6 meds questions. Half of my 75 questions are priority questions. In the last part of my exam are very hard prioritization questions. My secret on passing: Answering many sample Nclex questions. For 3 months, I answered at least minimum of 50 questions a day. Last month before I took my exam, I answered at least 150 qestions a day. I took a Nclex review class last July here in our country. Above all is PRAYER. Faith in God that he knows what is the best for you. To those who are taking the Nclex exams.. the best weapon for Nclex is Prayer. Good luck to all of you and God bless!!!
:yeah:Congratulations!!! I am a U.K nurse and I am terrified of this exam. I have just finished my practice test and I got 80 out of 180 right. I have not read the books yet, just used my experience. I am fearing it.
When looking at the exam do not think with what ever experience you have (not sure when you qualified) look at the exam questions as a new grad with no experience
hi there babymaica! congrats! may i ask where did u have your Nclex review here in the phils...what Q&A materials did u use and were the actual nclex questions more harder or easier than practice tests? thanx! im taking my exam this Oct.2 ...im so nervous huhu
Opps.. I think my reply was late. You already took your nclex exam. Anyways, I think you can make it. Just be positive. Just always pray. Good luck my friend!
Hi. I'm using NCLEX RN made Increadibly Easy, Questions and Answers. And planning to use Saunders after this. Is there a book or material, for all the lab values? I'm still waiting for my eligibility
I used my Davis's Nclex Rn Success book for the laboratory values. It can be found at page 855, Appendix A. In Saunders Comprehensive Review for the Nclex-Rn 3rd edition, the laboratory values can be found on page 112. But I think other books may also have laboratory values in the content. Goodluck kloie2!

Hi, I think you should also read nclex-rn books and compare the skills and informations from what you have experienced as a Uk nurse. There might be some major or minor differences in the practices you experienced and learned in Uk from the practices in USA. If some are the same, that's good. If not, you should remember and answer only the one written in the Nclex-RN book during your Nclex exam. Good luck to you chavelle. May you pass your Nclex exam.
Hey there ,
I have three years experience. My main problem is the terms that they use here , as well as the medications. I am just worried that if i don't know the drugs/terms I will not be able to answer correctly. I have used the Kaplan practice cd but I only managed to score 80 out of 180.However , I must add that I did not study before i answered the questions. Is this a good or bad sign?
Thanks in advance.
