Yepee!!! I'm very happy today... I passed Nclex exam first time with 75 questions. I took my Nclex exam here in the Philippines last September 10, 2008. I got my result by mail yesterday, after 2 weeks of waiting. I don't expect it to be that fast. I have 15 Sata, tons of priorty, tons of infection control, endocrine, 1 computation, whom to see first by the nurse, about 6 meds questions. Half of my 75 questions are priority questions. In the last part of my exam are very hard prioritization questions. My secret on passing: Answering many sample Nclex questions. For 3 months, I answered at least minimum of 50 questions a day. Last month before I took my exam, I answered at least 150 qestions a day. I took a Nclex review class last July here in our country. Above all is PRAYER. Faith in God that he knows what is the best for you. To those who are taking the Nclex exams.. the best weapon for Nclex is Prayer. Good luck to all of you and God bless!!!
Hi! Congratulations... I can feel your excitement and bliss! I'm also from the Phil and I took mine last Sept 12. It's amazing you got your good news in just two weeks. That actually increased my nervousness while i'm still waiting for my result! Where in the Phil are you located? coz i'm from the province so it might take longer for me to receive the mail. Was it in a small or big envelope? or does it matter? lol! Thanks!!
Im so happy for you. Im waiting for my result, Its really hard to wait.I took NCLEX last Sept 19 and I also stops at 75 and had only 1 comp, my friend tell me that if it was not dobutamine comp ,like her, I may fail.Is it true? She also has priotization cohorting and infection control delegation. From what BON are you?

I applied my Nclex in NEAC here in Manila. I used their address for my application and result. NEAC is some kind of agency for applying Nclex exam. I saw their agency while I'm still looking for a cheap yet a nice review class. I read all their testimonials and I found it okay. So I decided to apply my Nclex through them. I just gave them the necessary requirements, payment, etc. needed for nclex application. After waiting for 1 month.. in my surprise I already received my eligibility. I also received my result in just two weeks. I don't know if it is because of their agency or because of fast response / mailing of California Board of Nursing. I received my result in a small envelope with a letter inside indicating that I pass my Nclex exam and telling me to secure a SSN within 3 years for them to issue me a permanent license. The agency also showed me an example envelope If ever I failed: what I saw is a big envelope. They told me that it contains reapplication form, etc. Anyways, best of luck to you. Just relax while waiting for the result.. Just don't forget to pray to God and thank God in case you pass. God bless!
congrats :) how did the gapuz 311 book help? i have one but haven't touched it yet.. :stone: are the questions really that difficult, confusing, tricky? hehe im sooo not ready to take nclex
Thank you. Gapuz 311 book really helps me a lot especially one day before my exam. It is really a 24 hr guide for passing the Nclex-RN. I read it about two times cover to cover. What I really like on this book is that there is one sample question for each topic and then it has pointers to remember in each topic / page. I even saw one medication in the Gapuz 311 in my Nclex exam. You try to read and understand those pointers to remember but do it about 2-3 days before the exam because in what I experienced 1 day is not enough to understand all those pointers. In what I experienced, my first question is easy (topic: anxiety) then my 2nd question is in sata form. I got a total of 15 sata questions in my nclex exam. In the last part of my exam, I had a hard time answering my questions because I found it really hard prioritization and whom to see 1st by the nurse. I spent 2 1/2 hours for a 75 questions Nclex exam. I read questions and choices carefully before answering it. I didn't rush my exam because I know I have plenty time to spent for my entire Nclex exam which is 6 hours. Good luck to you. Just pray to God, study hard and do your best. I know you can do it. God bless you on your exam.

Thank you so much. I know it's hard to wait but try to forget that you are waiting for your result. Don't count the days.. just relax, do your ADL and you will be surprise like me when the time comes... Finally! I doubt about what your friend told you that you may fail if it is not a dobutamine comp. Through my Nclex experience, I had also one computation and believe me it is not dobutamine, not a fill in the blank but a multiple choice. I pass my Nclex exam with 75 questions so maybe it is not true. My BON is California. Good luck to you. God bless. :)
Congrats, babymaica! I also applied my nclex in NeAC, last june 2008. They say, i have to wait for 3-6 months for my eligibility. Anyways, where can i buy Gapuz 311, and for how much? Planning to take nclex this january '09.
hi kloie2! I think you can buy it in National Bookstore. I don't the price because it is free and included in my review package in Millenium ( review center). Best of luck to you. God bless on your exam.

:yeah:Congratulations!!! I am a U.K nurse and I am terrified of this exam. I have just finished my practice test and I got 80 out of 180 right. I have not read the books yet, just used my experience. I am fearing it.

To all: Thank you so much for congratulating me.
To bubbly30: I used Saunder's Comprehensive, David's Nclex-Rn Success, Mosby Q.A., Kaplan strategy, R.A.Gapuz's Nclex 311 the 24-guide for passing the Nclex-RN. I took a review class in Millenium last July. I answered around 7k+ of nclex questions in different cd, saunder's compre chapter quiz, david's pretest and practice tests, mosby q/a book and sample Nclex exams given in my review class. I got lots of prioritization and infection control questions on my exam. Good luck! Keep on studying and praying! God bless!
